According to reports, Hubert also asked the production team, to pay her more than Smith. After a while, the company could not cope with the requests and decided to fire her.
However, Hubert still believes that the decision the network made, to let her go, could only have happened because of Will Smith.
After Hubert was let off from “Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, millions of people knew about it and about some slight reports that accompanied it. Although she mentioned that the constructive criticism she gave Smith, was what led to her getting fired from the show.
After leaving the show, she started having trouble landing other jobs. She said that they would always speak about her, as if she was not in the room.
This became a recurring issues wherever she went, therefore, Hubert insists that Smith wrecked her career.
When season four of the show was released, fans were perplexed to see that Hubert had been exchanged for another actress. Subsequently, the show addressed with the use of a joke, during the premiere episode.
Hubert played the role of Aunty Viv in the series, from season one to three, but her relationship with some of the cast members, made them dread her.
Smith hosted the 30th anniversary of the show in May 2020, however, fans noticed that Hubert was nowhere to be found in the reunion.
