World’s Largest 850-LB Dope Brownie, Rumored To Keep Godzilla Mellow

This pot brownie just set a world record!

A cannabis company in Massachusetts just created a 3-foot-long brownie that weighs 850 pounds and is 15 inches tall. For inquiring minds that want to know, the brownie packs a powerful punch of 20,000 mg (or 20 grams) of THC, which is the equivalent of smoking 62 joints.

According to the Guinness World Records website, the previous world record for largest brownie was made back on September 12, 2013, by the Something Sweet Bake Shop. However, that brownie only weighed 234 pounds, and it did not contain any weed (reportedly).

Chief product officer at Norwood’s MariMed, Inc., Ryan Crandall, explained that they chose to make the world’s largest pot brownie because “For many of us, homemade brownies were our first taste of cannabis-infused edibles.”

Also, it was National Brownie Day, and what better way to celebrate?

According to USA Today, the ingredients in the brownie are as follows: 1,344 eggs, 250 pounds of sugar, 212 pounds of butter, 122 pounds of cocoa powder, 81 pounds of flour, 5.3 pounds of vanilla extract, two pounds of baking powder, and three pounds of salt.

For those looking to try to recreate their own giant brownie at home, we are sad to report that they did not include baking instructions. However, they did state that it took over 24 hours to prepare.

The gigantic pot brownie was created to promote MariMed’s new Bubby’s Baked brand of brownies which are “made from scratch with only the best ingredients and full-spectrum cannabis.” These brownies contain a much more manageable dose of 5mg THC.

Crandall stated, “Bubby’s re-creates and elevates that nostalgic experience, infusing full-spectrum, craft-quality cannabis into timeless recipes, for a reliable high reminiscent of simpler times.”

Fans looking to purchase regular-sized brownies can find them throughout Massachusetts. They are scheduled to appear in dispensaries in Delaware and Maryland throughout 2022.

In a video promoting the giant marijuana brownie, they joke, “Well, it’s nice to know if Godzilla ever attacks us, we have something to mellow him out.”

“That’s a dope brownie,” another fan joked.

In an Instagram post promoting the product, fans couldn’t help but poke some fun at the staff, pictured smiling around the enormous baked creation.

“The brownie of our dreams,” wrote another.

“I’ll bring the ice cream and the hot fudge,” said another fan.

Reports are still out as to whether or not the brownie is best enjoyed warm, cold, or with a glass of milk.
