Draya Michele is flexing on Instagram – big time. The “Basketball Wives LA” alum might have been canceled a few weeks ago after her ill-received Megan Thee Stallion shooting joke, but Draya is back. Seemingly bigger than ever.
If you aren’t up-to-date, Draya, 35, appeared to lose her lucrative SavagexFenty ambassador role after suggesting that getting shot is sexy as she spoke on the “Wine and Weed” podcast while referencing “Savage” rapper Stallion. The Mint Swim founder updated her Instagram ahead of the weekend with a reminder that she’s got a lot of fingers in a lot of pies.
Scroll for the latest photo. It came with mega hints that Draya is set to launch a line – and she’s only just dropped one with her Oh Polly x DRAYA collab. The Fashion Nova partner, who has also had collabs with Revolve, posted two photos on Friday. They came complete with a snazzy, sheer, and hologram-effect shirt, plus the swimwear designer showing that bikinis aren’t the only thing she can whip up.
Draya’s Mint Swim brand, FYI, was valued at $1 million in 2017. It all started with the $12,000 the star saved up.
Draya, seen seated amid an array of jewelry pieces and looking stunning in her eye-catching shirt and also flashing hints of a bikini top underneath, captioned her photos:
“Back doing what I love – DESIGNING !
Can’t wait to share the next move with you guys. ?”
Draya is fresh from a giant clap-back as a fan asked her what she “creates.” As The Blast reported, the star fired back, writing:
“To date? Like over 300 unique pieces of clothing, including swimwear, athletic wear, leisure, merchandise, jewelry…and more.”
Scroll for the TV news. Yup, she’s landed a show.
Draya was still making headlines for having Texan rapper Megan Thee Stallion shading her on Twitter over the joke – scroll for it – when she re-emerged with the news that her “Doses of Draya” reality show will be airing on subscription streaming service Zeus. The 10-part docu-series will offer behind-the-scenes insight into the mom of two’s life.
Oddly, Draya, who had posted a promo reel for the series to her Instagram, has since deleted the trailer. Not deleted, however, are all those stories as Draya mega put her foot in her mouth with the joke…
“I predict that they had some sort of Bobby & Whitney love that drove them down this type of road,” with Draya then adding she was “here for it: “I like that. I want you to like me so much you shoot me in the foot too.”
Scroll for hard-hitter Megan very much not appreciating Draya’s words.
