Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Perry are retaliating following the recent harassment lawsuit from her husband’s accuser.
According to new updates in the legal case, the rapper’s attorney is now accusing Jennifer Hough of twisting her stories in order to get a big settlement from Nicki.
Nicki Minaj’s Lawyer Sanctions Accuser
Per TMZ, the “Barbie Tingz” rapper’s attorney recently filed a lawsuit in response to Hough’s harassment allegations from August. At the time, Hough, who accused Perry of raping her in the 90s, claimed the rapper, her husband, and a team of lawyers were breathing down her neck, asking her to recant the rape claims.
She also alleged that Nicki tried to bribe her brother with $500,000 if she takes back her story. However, now, Nicki’s lawyers are calling all of Hough’s claims a blatant lie.
In the new legal documents filed, Nicki’s attorney filed a motion for Hough to be sanctioned for “blatant falsehoods” and accused her of twisting the narrative to earn a big paycheck from the rapper.
No Proof To Back Hough’s Claims
According to the lawyers, Hough has numerous inconsistencies in her story that can help Nicki and Perry triumph over the case. One of such disparities is Hough’s claims that she had to change her phone number because Nicki and her team kept contacting her incessantly.
However, it turns out that Hough was reportedly the one who reached out to the rapper and not the other way around. The accuser allegedly texted Nicki, “US Marshalls are asking questions. They showed up at my house.”
Also, the lawyers believed that Hough’s claims that Nicki and Perry approached her brother with money are purely specualtions as there is no proof that the rapper was behind the bribery. All these and more make Nicki’s legal team confident that they can discredit Hough and win the case.

Over the past few months, since the legal woes began for Nicki and her husband, the award-winning rapper has largely remained silent. However, in October, she broke her silence via a statement.
It Was Simply An ‘Innocent Mistake’
In court documents filed, Nicki claimed that her negligence to reply to Hough’s harassment lawsuit was an “innocent mistake” on her part. An excerpt of the documents obtained by The Blast read,
My failure to respond to the complaint was the product of an innocent mistake, and I ask the court to excuse the delay so that I can defend what I believe to be an entirely frivolous case which plaintiff’s counsel has brought against me.
She also noted that Perry failed to respond because the description of the man in the lawsuit didn’t fit his profile. Despite the troubles of the pending lawsuit, Nicki continues to live her best life.
