Lala Kent and her fiancé, Randall Emmett, went public with their romance on “Vanderpump Rules” last summer amid filming on the Bravo reality series’ eighth season after previously keeping their relationship under wraps and off the show.
So, when it comes to the show’s potentially upcoming ninth season, which has yet to be officially confirmed, does the movie producer plan to reprise his role?
During a recent interview with Us Weekly magazine, Randall shared his thoughts on his possible position on the new episodes.
Although Randall first admitted that he wasn’t comfortable appearing in front of the camera during production on “Pump Rules” season eight, he revealed that if the show does return to Bravo for a ninth season, he plans to be a part of it.
“It was an experience that I’m not comfortable doing because I like to be behind the scenes. The plus was that I got to see my fiancée a lot which I never … during the filming I [didn’t],” he shared, according to a transcript provided by Reality Blurb on August 11.
While Randall prefers to stay behind the scenes, he admitted that he didn’t hate the process of filming “Vanderpump Rules” last year.
“I really enjoyed it at the end. In terms of coming back, if they ask me to do this again, I’m sure I’d [return],” he confirmed. “It was fun and I’ll do it again if they want me to.”
As fans could see during season eight, Randall has established close friendships with several members of the show, including Tom Schwartz and Jax Taylor.
Years after completely shutting down the possibility of joining Lala on “Vanderpump Rules,” Randall now says he feels it is his duty as Lala’s future husband to support what she’s doing in her career, just as she has done for him throughout the past few years of his career.
“You want to support your partner. My fiancée supports all the films I go off and do or when I have to leave, so I feel like it’s my obligation to support her career,” he explained.
Also during the interview, Randall opened up about his impending wedding to Lala, which was canceled earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I will tell you that we’re more ready to get married now than we ever were,” he shared. “It’s like, alright, we got robbed of our wedding on April 18. I was on set when she called me [when I was on set] and was like, ‘You know we have to push the date,’ and I was like, ‘I know’ and she said, ‘Are you okay with that?’ and I burst into tears like a little baby. It was heartbreaking.”
