Kelly Clarkson is apparently going to replace Simon Cowell on America’s Got Talent after the British icon suffered an almost paralyzing back break Saturday, August 8th. The show has confirmed that the 38-year-old singer and winner of “The Voice” will be filling in for Simon until further notice.

Kelly humorously, albeit a little on the inappropriate side, shared an “urgent memo” where she detailed how she would be taking Simon’s place as a judge on the talent show.

She has already received a massive response on social media.

“My friend, Simon Cowell, is doing better now but was in an accident and won't be able to make Tuesday and Wednesday's live shows for AGT," Clarkson said on Instagram, "But no worries America, someone far wiser, cooler, and hotter is taking his seat! The unbelievably amazing Kelly Clarkson. You're welcome in advance!"

Clarkson added a silly emoji to accentuate that she was joking about the “wiser, cooler” part, though many shared how they already miss the long-time judge on the show.

Kelly has recently shared that staying home during quarantines and learning to take care of her family in a more “hands-on” approach has been quite difficult for her.

“Honestly, I have been on an emotional roller coaster,” the singer told the publication. “This has been really hard as a working parent, because I’m still doing all the same jobs. It’s been exhausting honestly, cooking every meal and cleaning nonstop after toddlers and teenagers! Everybody’s learning from home now and the teaching! So, everything has been crazy.”

While she was working to manage her family as a leading parent, also hosting her show and keeping her social media updated proved a big job for Kelly. Tending to her teenage step-children was also difficult in light of her work schedule.

“I’m literally holding down so many things right now. Not only jobs but even things where we usually had a lot more help.”

Despite the difficulties that come with being so responsible as a parent, Clarkson shared how she is a better person for stepping up.

Her statements about being a “strong individual” have inspired others to remember that it isn’t the end of the world and that women everywhere can persevere.

“There are always things that happen that come up that bum you out, but at the same time you’ve got to recognise at some point though, that it’s made you who you are,” Clarkson told Glamour. “You are thankful and I’m a very strong individual. I’m very confident and I’ve been forced to find that in myself. I’ve been forced to at a very early age.”
