Since the tragic passing of former 'Glee' star Naya Rivera at Lake Piru in California, countless figures who the star had crossed paths with in life have shared tearful stories and kindhearted messages about the actress and their times spent around her. Now, one of her closest friends and former co-stars, Heather Morris, has taken to social media to share her own candid and touching video tribute to Rivera about the times they enjoyed around one another during their friendship.

The actress took to her Instagram on Sunday to share the video, which has since garnered over half of a million views and countless interactions from peers and fans beneath it.

Morris, 33, portrayed the character of Brittany Pierce on 'Glee,' who eventually wed Rivera's character, Santana Lopez, later in the show. The pair's intense chemistry on and off screen and the deeply profound friendship they developed has made Rivera's passing clearly very difficult for Morris, who was emotional throughout her video message.

"I have done a couple of these already, because it’s really tricky to film yourself and be really honest and talk personally," the actress began her video sentiment to Rivera.

"I have been feeling very heavy lately. I’ve been feeling this like aching in my heart to connect with my fans, to connect with everybody who’s been feeling a little lost and confused during this time," she continued to explain of the emotional strain her friend's loss has caused her recently.

Morris continued to comment on how many regarded her and Rivera's on-screen romance during their tenure on 'Glee' as a pivotal point for the LGBTQ+ community being represented in television, "Most of you felt like it was an inspiration to become your best self. I want you to know that that was never lost on me. It was never lost on Naya. We both knew how special that was. I think she knew a little bit more than I did."

"I really felt it a lot later with all the messages and all the people reaching out. and I knew the writers also knew that as well. They were basically writing for the fans," she went on to say.

"You guys helped create something for the writers and, for Naya and I, that made an impact that will last for a lifetime and beyond then. So I want to thank everyone here watching and I want to thank all the fans for your love and support," she concluded her video.
