"Yea, I think I’m done here. This pandemic, extreme lack of social interaction, no intimacy, combined with constant public ridicule is making life harder than [it’s] worth. I think I will end my tenure here on earth soon," Banks took to her Instagram Saturday night to share with fans, a clear indicator of larger issues plaguing the '212' artist's personal life.

Banks maintained that her posts were not for attention or because she was seeking intervention, but simply to give fans context into her thought process.

"I’m not begging for attention or asking for sympathy/empathy…… I’m just ready to go. Peacefully of course. I will document my last times and release a film for you all to finally understand me, from my perspective. My soul is tired. I’m ready to go. I will try my best to finish the projects I promised beforehand. With whatever strength is left," she continued in her troubling message to fans, explaining that she will release a culminating project prior to making any decision regarding her life.

Banks concluded her saddening message by asking for privacy and a lack of intervention by outside sources, writing, "Please don’t bombard me with messages. I am not in pain. I am at peace."

She took to her story once again later in the day to explain that a friend had come to do a welfare check on her following her initial statements, but maintains that her "decision is made" in regards to taking her own life when she feels the time is ready.

The rapper went on to explain that she is tired of the constant ridicule that has marred her career, and despite having a disdain for that her decision to end her life came entirely from within and not due to others spurs. Banks maintained that she had been looking for help for years and that she does not want any sympathy from others now that she has publicly aired out her private thoughts.

Many have reached out with messages of kindness and support for Banks, who has not issued any further comments on the matter.
