Week after week, AEW Dynamite proves why it's one of the best Wednesday night shows.

Since its debut in October 2019, the show has become one of the most-watched and most-talked about shows in the wrestling community.

There's been a lot of surprises on Dynamite in recent weeks and with the All Out PPV coming up in a month, they're building up the matches for the event.

Last night's show provided lots of memorable moments that had fans talking. So let's take a look at some of the highlights.

Guest Moderator

One of the segments from last night consisted of a debate between Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy.

The two have been engaged in a tense feud for the past month, and it seems they're not done fighting.

Last night, a debate was shown between the two with a guest moderator. When it came time to introduce the moderator, Eric Bischoff came out.

Bischoff is a legend in the wrestling industry. He's the former executive producer and President of World Championship Wrestling (WCW), which was WWE's main competition during the 90s.'

Bischoff would later go on to serve as RAW General Manager for WWE from 2002 to 2005.

Most recently he had worked briefly as an executive director for WWE's program Smackdown, but was let go after less than three months.

On last night's Dynamite broadcast, Bischoff returned to the shock of audiences as he asked a series of questions to Jericho and Cassidy.

While fans were excited to see Bischoff, the real star of the debate was the normally quiet Cassidy dropping a promo against Jericho.

Matt Cardona's First Match

Last week's episode of Dynamite saw the debut of Matt Cardona.

Cardona is best known by wrestling fans as WWE's Zack Ryder. During his 15 years for WWE, Cardona won the United States Championship, Intercontinental Championship, and the tag titles twice.

He was a charismatic athlete, who quickly gained a mass social media following. Yet, despite his popularity, WWE treated him as a jobber making him lose in squash matches.

In April, Cardona was released from WWE.

With his 90-day no compete clause up in July, fans were wondering where the star would end up.

They soon had their answer when Cardona appeared on the July 29th Dynamite broadcast to save his friend Cody Rhodes from an attack by The Dark Order.

Cardona's appearance created a stir on social media and the star looked jacked and ready for a fight.

Last night, Cardona teamed with Cody to take on Alex Reynolds and John Silver. Matt and Cody won their match, and now the question is where does Matt go from here.

Reports say that Cardona has a short-term deal with AEW, but after his performance last night, many are hoping he'll sign a long-term contract and stick around.

Matt Hardy Vs Sammy Guevara

Two weeks ago, Sammy Guevara made his return to AEW Dynamite and reunited with The Inner Circle.

With the stable now back together again, it looks like they're ready to dominate the rest of the roster.

However, Guevara may be close to leaving, that is if Matt Hardy has anything to do with it.

Hardy cut a promo saying that Sammy was a talented wrestler and he could be great if he broke away from The Inner Circle. Matt then explained it was his mission to save the young man.

Upon hearing Hardy's words, Sammy came out and unleashed a vicious attack on Hardy, which left the veteran wrestler busted open.

It looks like a match could be taking place between the two men, possibly at All Out. The match will no doubt be amazing, but the real question is whether Hardy's words will lead to Sammy breaking free from his stable mates.

Moxley Vs Darby

The main event of this week's Dynamite had Jon Moxley defending his AEW World Championship against Darby Allin.

It was a match everyone was looking forward too and had fans split on who they wanted to win.

If fans weren't already invested enough, Mox's promo before the match had them hyped.

Moxley delivered an emotional promo saying he sees a lot of himself in Allin. He went on to say that he doesn't want to hurt Darby, but will do whatever it takes to hold on to his title.

When it came time for the main event, the two men gave it their all by delivering brutal punches and high-flying moves. During the fight Moxley's forehead was busted open adding more intensity to the match.

At one point, Wardlow came down to provide a distraction while his boss MJF attacked Moxley with the championship.

However, that did little to take down Mox and Darby wasn't going down without a fight. But when Moxley hit the Paradigm Shift that signaled the end of the bout.

Moxley retained his championship, then gave a post match promo praising Darby. Jon then had words for MJF his upcoming opponent at All Out.

The match with Allin and his upcoming feud with MJF has fans excited about what's in store for Jon Moxley.
