Katy Perry is surprisingly becoming something of a celebrity staple across social media. After the news came out that the “Roar” singer was pregnant with her first child, there hasn’t been a week gone by that the 35-year-old pop sensation hasn’t appeared in a headline.

Although not yet married to Orlando Bloom, the “California Gurls” singer and the “Lord Of The Rings” actor are currently engaged. Like other celebrity couples eager for marriage, they would have tied the knot earlier this year but were forced to postpone the date due to the global pandemic.

Most recently, Katy has sent some well-wishes to show host and fellow celebrity Ellen Degeneres. Ellen has experienced serious backlash over recent reports circulating about her alleged bad treatment towards employees and even featured guests on the show.

In light of this, Katy shared on Twitter (On Tuesday) that she didn’t believe in the allegations. Her post was succinct but heartfelt and communicated what many have come to say. While some claim Ellen is not who she appears to be, others like Katy say they’ve only known a positive experience with her.

'Witnessed The Light'

"I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen & on the @theellenshow," wrote Perry. "I think we all have witnessed the light & continual fight for equality that she has brought to the world through her platform for decades. Sending you love & a hug, friend @TheEllenShow."

Perry has also been prolifically posting about her “SmileSunday” podcasts where she reveals exclusive details about her album launch and music projects.

'Clearly Some Didn't

Ellen, on the other hand, hasn’t actually taken responsibility for or acknowledged any current accusations. She posted a statement sharing how she essentially views her executive producers as fully responsible for the supposed issues on the show.

"Alongside Warner Bros, we immediately began an internal investigation and we are taking steps, together, to correct the issues. As we've grown exponentially, I've not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I'd want them done. Clearly some didn't. That will now change and I'm committed to ensuring this does not happen again."

'I Promise to Do My Part'

Although not acknowledging the allegations, DeGeneres did say that she would continue to grow and learn. She stated that it was important to herself and Warner Brothers that the show not be a negative work environment.

"I promise to do my part in continuing to push myself and everyone around me to learn and grow. It's important to me and to Warner Bros. that everyone who has something to say can speak up and feels safe doing so."

That being said, it is rumored that Ellen may not even renew the contract for the show at the end of Summer.
