Jamie Lynn Spears was legit worn out as she let Instagram know the reality behind her stunning beach vacation photos. The 29-year-old singer and actress whose “Sweet Magnolia” Netflix series has been renewed for a second season updated her Instagram over the weekend with selfies that were the opposite of glam.
If you don’t live inside Jamie Lynn’s Instagram, the little sister to pop princess Britney Spears took her girls on a well-deserved beach break at the end of July. Clearly, entertaining an 11-year-old and 2-year-old can take its toll.
Scroll for the bathroom exhaustion. The above snaps, shared four days ago, showed the “Zoey 101” alum right on powder-white sands and with her beautiful daughters Maddie and Ivey. Jamie Lynn had captioned the threesome shot:
“If we can’t find it matching, then we monogram it.
-every southern momma???.”
The weekend activity was a different story, though. Selfies showed Jamie Lynn in a bathroom and backed by a deep-soaking and marbled tub. She was rocking a tiffany-blue bikini and Hawaiian shirt, plus messy hair, beginning: “TIME TO GO HOME. MOMMA’S TIRED.”
Jamie, who admitted she was sunburned and joked that she apparently “lives” in Hawaiian shirts, kept the real vibe up with text – and this is a girl who’ll get photographed dragging out the trash and bravely post it to Instagram.
“This is how you look WHEN YOU HAVE BEEN THE COOK. MAID. CHAUFFEUR, & ENTERTAINMENT FOR YOUR KIDS’ VACATION,” she added.
Jamie Lynn, who turned 29 in quarantine and called it “crappy” times, had confirmed that the getaway was a long time coming.
Spears’ first family beach snaps had come captioned: “Finally was able to take these girls on a much deserved beach vacation after a summer filled with non-stop softballin’ ?☀️???.” Note, the above photo shows a prosthetic baby bump.
Headlines have been busy for Jamie Lynn, though, with “Sweet Magnolias” proving popular enough to be renewed for a second season. In fact, the live watch party Spears planned for the Series 1 premiere was so swamped by viewers, it crashed. The former Nickelodeon face has also fronted media outlets this summer for defending 38-year-old sister Britney after a fan trolled the “Toxic” singer’s mental health issues.
Jamie Lynn has been backing her sister. Britney, openly bipolar and currently seeing a #FreeBritney resurgence amid her 2008-commenced conservatorship, has had fans worried. Early 2020 brought mental health concerns, although repetitive Instagram posts from the singer now see fans more worried that she’s somehow being controlled – less-so about the mental health.
When a fan wrote that Britney had “obvious” mental health issues, Jamie Lynn clapped back.
“You have no right to assume anything about my sister, and I have NO right to speak about HER health and personal matters,” she wrote.
