Joe Jonas, 30, and Sophie Turner, 24, welcomed their first daughter, Willa, on July 22.
The couple, who kept their pregnancy relatively quiet, have yet to confirm or announce their daughter’s birth. But their rep told Entertainment Tonight, the two are “delighted.”
“Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are delighted to announce the birth of their baby.”
“Joe and Sophie welcomed a baby girl last Wednesday in L.A. and are over the moon,” a source told the outlet. “The couple is already obsessed and can’t stop gloating about their new addition.”
The insider continued, “The couple is taking time to enjoy this special moment and have only shared the news and updates with family and friends. With the pandemic, Joe and Sophie have been very cautious about who is around them and their little girl.”
The family of three has been enjoying quality time with their daughter since bringing her home.
“Joe is very hands on and involved. He wants to do everything he can and loves being with the baby and helping Sophie,” a source told E! News.
Jonas and Turner have “been texting pictures to friends and calling on FaceTime to show her off. Everyone is very excited for them.”
The couple started dating sometime in 2016. In December of that year, they were photographed kissing. But the couple took their time confirming their relationship.
In 2017, Turner was asked about Jonas while chatting with Extra TV’s Mario Lopez. “I’m not saying anything … I’m very happy,” Turner said at the time.
In October 2017, they announced their engagement on Instagram.
“She said yes,” Jonas wrote on Instagram alongside a black and white photo of his and Turner’s hands, where the “Game of Thrones” star’s engagement ring was clearly visible.
In 2019, Turner opened up on why she was comfortable getting engaged in her early 20s.
“I feel like I’m much older a soul than I am in age. I feel like I’ve lived enough life to know. I’ve met enough guys to know — I’ve met enough girls to know. I don’t feel 22. I feel like 27, 28,” she told Rolling Stone.
In May 2019, the couple tied the knot spontaneously while in Vegas for the VMA’s.
Two months later, they wed (again) during a more formal ceremony in London.
And while Jonas and Turner rarely open up about their relationship, Turner credited her husband for “saving her life” when she was struggling with mental health issues.
“He [Joe] was, like, ‘I can’t be with you until you love yourself, I can’t see you love me more than you love yourself.’ That was something, him doing that,” Turner said during an interview with the Sunday Times. “I think he kind of saved my life, in a way.”
