Alexandra Daddario couldn’t catch a break with her latest bikini shot. The “True Detective” actress, recently sparking concern over her weight as fans deemed her too skinny, received zero complaints on the curve front as she stripped down to swimwear with “roommate” Kate Easton yesterday, however remarks gaining likes seemed out to probe Daddario over COVID-19.
Alexandra, 34, updated her Instagram on Thursday with a chill shot. She was in the shade and on a sunbed with her gal pal. Check out the photo and reactions below.
Scroll for the photo that was, despite the “mask” comments, seemingly a giant hit, with likes now sitting at over 1.8 million. It showed the “Baywatch” bombshell sharing a towel-laid lounger with her friend – both ladies were on an outdoor terrace and rocking shades as they wore swimwear.
Alexandra, on the left, was boldly checking out her assets and pulling up one half of a plunging, nude-colored bikini, with friend Kate going bandeau style in black. Daddario’s caption read: “Roommates (@whatismorgan not pictured) @itskateeaston
A comment gaining over 250 likes seemingly trolled the actress, but it wasn’t one of those replies that sinks to the bottom.
“Where is your mask?” the fan wrote, with another replying: “Yeah.”
Gathering up over 40 likes was a comment echoing the sentiment – “Where is your mask lol,” the user wrote. Others meanwhile, deemed the actress a hpyocrite, with one fan claiming to remember “She preached” to wear a mask “inside home last week,” then asking if it was a “comedy video.”
It wasn’t one way, though.
Alexandra’s alleged social media warning was picked up on by more than one fan – “She said u have to wear it everywhere, even at home,” another wrote, but the sentiments did appear to factor reason in.
“Do you wear a mask inside your own house with your roommates at your own pool? Didn’t think so,” a fan clapped back.
“They are quite literally roommates. they are 99% in a private place where they don’t need one,” another added.
Alexandra, fresh from announcing her September 4th “Lost Girls & Love Hotels” movie release, does not appear to have responded to the comments. She has been keeping up with quarantine trends, though.
Alexandra, followed by 16.4 million on Instagram and also active on TikTok, has kept up with pandemic trends, namely showing off her lock-down life and getting into wellness. On July 4, she dropped a stunning red-lit cabin yoga shot while posing with her head upside-down and an arched back, with the caption reading: “Find some peace.”
Masks have also been mentioned – and shown. One day earlier, Alexandra shouted out “Friends” alum and mask endorser Jennifer Aniston with a lawn snap showing her in a face covering. “We agree with @jenniferaniston #wearadamnmask,” she wrote.
