Rich the Kid Ordered To Pay Fashion Nova Over $130,000 In Contract Dispute

Rapper Rich the Kid is ordered to pay Fashion Nova over $130,000 following a judgment in their ongoing lawsuit.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the rapper is on the hook for $132,637.75 after a "default judgment" was entered against him in the Los Angeles County Courts. In most cases, a default is entered when one party fails to respond to a lawsuit. In this case, the amount is broken up into $100,000 in damages, $29,526 in interest, and $3,111 in costs associated with the case.

As we reported, the 28-year-old rapper was sued by the fashion company for allegedly breaching his contract with the company, consisting of an endorsement deal to promote the brand. The company claims it entered into a contract with Rich The Kid back in 2018, adding him to their long list of celebrity ambassadors. Fashion Nova claims it paid the 'Breakin' U Off' rapper a $100,000 advance in order to sign him. At the time, the lawsuit says the advance was for a number of promotions, including mentioning the company on social media and giving a shout-out to them in one of his songs.

Rich The Kid blasted the company following the lawsuit being filed, posting, "S--t is crazy mothaf---s tryna sue a n---- left and right." Adding, "It's time for us to promote ownership, not that slave s---."

This isn't the first time RTK has been in this situation. The rapper's former managers sued him for $3.5 Million claiming he violated the terms of his contract. At the time, the company was granted a default judgment against the rapper and he was ordered to pay them $1.1 Million.

It's unclear what is going on with Rich The Kid, or why he isn't fighting this lawsuit, but it appears he is doing just fine.

The famous musician made huge headlines in the past few weeks after dropping a music video with Lil' Wayne for their record, 'Trust Fund.'

The video takes place in a vast indoor skate park, where animated and normal versions of the rappers are seen dropping bars in front of a luxury car while skateboarders zoom past them. "Coach, put me in the game, I’ve been balling, I was countin’ up the hundreds ’til the morning," the duo raps.
