Britney Spears is a name few people will forget, and one who almost any music lover will instantly recognize. The 38-year-old “Lucky” singer has frequented celebrity headlines as she continues to post selfies, dance videos, and occasional romantic updates with her boyfriend Sam Asghari.
The two have been together since 2017, and fans have come to find the pair inseparable. In addition to Sam’s incredible fitness routines, his affections have inspired Britney to find renewed joy and has helped her through US quarantines.
Although claims have come out stating that Britney’s social media was being managed at some point, it is not widely accepted that Britney herself is personally controlling what she shares online. That being said, that hasn’t stopped her relatives from speaking out about her “conservatorship”.
In a recent interview with “As NOT Seen On TV” podcast, Britney’s brother Bryan shared how she has wanted to get out of being a co-conservator of her estate. Her father being the permanent conservator of her affairs.
Bryan shared that Britney has wanted control of her affairs and of her estate for some time, but only recently has the possibility arisen. Only now, according to him, is there a real chance this could happen.
“She’s always wanted to get out of it. It’s very frustrating to have,” he said on the podcast. “Whether someone’s coming in peace to help or coming in with an attitude, having someone constantly tell you to do something has got to be frustrating. She’s wanted to get out of it for quite some time.”
Bryan went on to question whether it was really a good idea for Britney to be more independent though. He spoke about how Britney wasn’t even that great of a driver and it might be a bad thing for her to become more self-sufficient.
“I’m sure it’s going to be an adjustment. Let’s say it does get let go and she’s on her own — everyday task stuff is probably … it’s a great challenge, but it’s probably going to be. Like driving. “
To further state his point, he questioned whether she would actually take the initiative and do what others have done for her, for so many years.
“I know what she wants but at the end of the day, what is the reality of that? What is the practicality of that? So are you going to call and make reservations for yourself today?” he asked.
Fans are a bit torn on this, though most agree Britney should have full control of her life.
