During a recent appearance on Instagram Live, via KISS 95.1, Nene told her fans and followers she is “still in a holding pattern.”
“Let me start there. I also want to say that it’s not me, it’s them,” she continued, seemingly taking aim at Bravo. “Every single season when it ends for at least the last three to four seasons I have been dealing with this going back and forth.”
“I know a lot of people think it’s me. ‘Nene holds out to the last minute. Nene’s holding out.’ That is not Nene. Nene is not doing that,” Nene continued. “A negotiation does take time. I can’t move their pens any faster than they move themselves. I can’t make their emails work.”
According to Nene, there has been a lot of talk on both sides when it comes to the negations for “Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 13, but so far, no final decisions about the coming episodes have been made.
Nene went on to reveal that the “other side,” which is likely how she’s referring to Bravo, is tiring of her queen mentality.
“One of the issues that we have addressed is that the other side said to my side that she calls herself a ‘queen’ and the ‘HBIC’ and quite frankly we are tired of hearing that. Well, I am a queen. I am Greg’s queen. I am Brent’s queen. I am Bryson’s queen. And I’m a Black queen. So you won’t be not hearing that anytime soon,” Nene stated.
Looking back on a physical altercation she had with a producer after season 11, Nene said that she dealt with consequences she does not believe her co-star, Porsha Williams, also faced.
“I wonder did Porsha get that same call because I know for two reunions she wore a crown. I wonder did she get that same call. Also, another thing that I know was addressed was that I was told that I hit one of the producers and they could have prosecuted me for that if they wanted to,” she shared.
“Now, I wonder would they prosecute Teresa from ]’The Real Housewives of New Jersey’] when she pulled [Andy Cohen] down at the reunion. I wonder if they had that same conversation with her. I was curious about that,” Leakes said.
Nene then claimed that a “certain person” on her cast told producers she could no longer film with her.
“I didn’t have a problem with them filming,” Leakes said, failing to reveal which member of the cast was refusing to film with her.
