Breonna Taylor was a 26-year-old EMT who was shot and killed in her home in Louisville, KY on March 13. Three police officers, Brett Hankison, Sgt. Jon Mattingly and Myles Cosgrove, were all the ones who contributed to her murder. They wrongly entered her home on a "no knock warrant" as she was shot eight times while sleeping when her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, fired shots first as he believed intruders entered. These officers were originally looking for a nearby drug house but the suspects were already caught when they entered Taylor's home.

Hankison has since been fired and not charged while the other two haven't been arrested or charged either. Many people wonder what's taking Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron so long to bring on charges as protests continue to form in support of Taylor.

Breonna Taylor continues to receive massive support nationwide in the fight to get her justice.

A few weeks ago huge protest occurred in front of Cameron's Louisville home demanding justice for Taylor. 87 people were charged with felonies after stepping on the property which included celebrities such as 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Porsha Williams, 'Love and Hip-Hop New York' star Yandy Smith, NFL player Kenny Stills, and rappers YBN Cordae and Trae Tha Truth. The felonies have since been dropped but the misdemeanor charges are still in place for everyone arrested on this day.

Oprah Winfrey is now the latest to bring attention to Taylor's case as she just put her on the cover of Oprah Magazine. This is the first time in 20 years that someone other than her appeared on the cover. She discussed how Taylor had a future and didn't deserve to die the way she did.

"Breonna Taylor. She was just like me. She was just like you. And like everyone who dies unexpectedly, she had plans. Plans for a future filled with responsibility and work and friends and laughter. I think about Breonna Taylor often."

There still haven't been any arrests or charges placed against the Louisville officers who killed Taylor.

"Imagine if three unidentified men burst into your home while you were sleeping. And your partner fired a gun to protect you. And then mayhem. What I know for sure: We can’t be silent. We have to use whatever megaphone we have to cry for justice. And that is why Breonna Taylor is on the cover of @oprahmagazine. The September issue honors her life and the life of every other Black woman whose life has been taken too soon. Head to for more—and thank you to @alexis_art, a 24-year-old digital artist, who captured the essence of Breonna."

Breonna Taylor's name continues to be chanted at nationwide protests.

This was a very beautiful gesture by Winfrey. It's ridiculous that at this point, no arrests and charges have been made in Taylor's murder. One definitely has to wonder what Attorney General Cameron and the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department are doing to take so long to make any moves in this case. They may sadly not have any plans to make arrests at all. Hopefully, this is not the case and Taylor's family is able to get the closure and justice they deserve.
