The UK tabloids had all of the fans of the Royal family believing that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle really hated each other. They reported that the two Duchesses were constantly fighting and didn’t get along from day one. Although they actually didn’t hate each other and didn’t fight with each other at all, they did feel awkward around each other.
According to CheatSheet, the book about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their Royal exit from the Royal family will be released in August 2020.
The new book called, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family which was written by two Royal experts, Omid Scobie and Caroline Durand, talks about the Royal exit, or Megxit, as everyone calls it that happened with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The truth is finally revealed in the book about why they felt they had to leave the Queen and the rest of the Royal family and how they were constantly made to feel last when it came to their own events, when other members, including Prince William and Prince Charles, Harry’s older brother and father, had their own events going on. When this happened, theirs had to be placed on the back burner.
Before Megxit happened and Markle and Prince Harry finally left the palace and the UK for good, Kate tried to offer a nice peace offering, in the way of flowers she bought for her sister-n-law, Meghan, not once but twice, to try to save their relationship and help them get along better. But Meghan practically stuck her nose up at her and the flowers Duchess Kate brought to her and said they weren’t good enough. This was actually because Markle thought Middleton should have just been there for Markle when she was being lied about when the UK reporters were constantly attacking her.
Although there was no real rift between them as the tabloid reporters had claimed all the time about them, they didn’t have much in common and didn’t know each other well. They didn’t really try to get to know each other either.
However, according to the new book, Finding Freedom, Meghan wished Kate would try to get closer to her in the beginning when she was first dating Harry. Meghan had hoped, that Kate would offer “everything an outsider to the Firm [the working side of the royal family] needed to know.”
The authors of the new book also said, “Meghan was disappointed that she and Kate hadn’t bonded over the position they shared, but she wasn’t losing sleep over it.”
But, according to a close source to the Royal family, Kate thought the only thing she and Meghan actually shared in common was “the fact that they lived at Kensington Palace.”
Kate didn’t just send flowers to Meghan to try to mend their relationship, but she also sent her flowers for her birthday. However, Meghan wasn’t impressed and didn’t want them. According to Royal expert, Katie Nicholl, who told Vanity Fair, “Meghan told Kate in no uncertain terms that flowers were not enough.”
However, according to the authors of the new book, “The truth was Meghan and Kate just didn’t know each other that well… Though it was not necessarily her responsibility, Kate did little to bridge the divide.”
According to some friends of Kate and Prince William, who told the Daily Mail on Sunday that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge felt they “had “done all they possibly could” and “rolled out the red carpet” to welcome Meghan into the family, however.
A close friend of the Royal couple also said in their defense, “It’s just completely wrong to suggest they didn’t talk and plain wrong to say the Cambridges weren’t welcoming.”
The friend continued saying, “How can you say they weren’t warm or welcoming when they hosted Meghan for Christmas, invited her into their totally private inner sanctum at Anmer Hall and did everything they could to make her feel at home? They personally cooked her favorite vegan food, they couldn’t have been more welcoming.”
Do you think Meghan Markle was just being a total snob to not let Kate get closer to her and to not accept the flowers she sent her?
