Many were waiting for Khaled to drop off a few hot summer records and we finally got two. This comes after months of Khaled laying low and staying safe due to the coronavirus pandemic. Drake was hot since the start of the year as he appeared on Future's hit single "Life Is Good" which has since been certified 5x platinum by the RIAA in the US. Drake went on to release other singles such as "Chicago Freestyle" feat. Giveon and "When To Say When."

Drake also had a successful project this year with his 'Dark Lane Demo Tapes' mixtape in May.

Drake went on to release his "Toosie Slide" single in April as well as it became the No.1 song in the country. These records all appeared on his 'Dark Lane Demo Tapes' mixtape on May 1 which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. This was the first time in 10 years that a Drake project didn't debut at No. 1. Kenny Chesney's 'Here And Now' album was able to take this spot, which left many fans very surprised.

Khaled and Drake are both expected to release albums by the end of the summer.

Drake also revealed prior to the mixtape's announcement that his sixth studio album would be arriving this summer. So far, no release date has been revealed.. As far as Khaled goes, many believe that his own album could arrive at the end of the summer. Last year, his 'Father of Asahd' album was released and did very well as it was the No. 2 album in the country and led by singles such as "Higher" feat. John Legend and Nipsey Hussle and "Top Off" feat. Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Future.
