Former “Teen Mom 2” star Jenelle Evans had high hopes of heading out west for a V.I.P. tour at one of Oregon’s biggest marijuana farms and dispensaries, but once again her plans went up in smoke. Jenelle and on-again/off-again husband David Eason left their rural home in North Carolina and traveled to Ontario, Oregon for an event at Burnt River Farms that was not met with a happy response from fans and customers.
Apparently, after the Oregon-based dispensary announced Jenelle and David were coming for a visit, they were met with insane online backlash that forced them to pull the plug on a scheduled meet and greet.
According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, a now-deleted post from Burnt River Farms had stated:
“Today come on down [and] get a taste of reality! Come meet n greet Jenelle Lauren Evans. Janelle is a reality television personality who rose to fame on MTV’s Teen Mom 2. Come and experience BRF next level to the game!”
After fans dragged the dispensary for doing, what appeared to be, a paid event with Jenelle and her controversial husband, the cannabis company pulled the promos and tried to backtrack on their involvement.
While answering fans on social media, Burnt River Farms claimed they were not promoting Jenelle and David, and that, “There was no compensation; they just wanted to know about the weed business.”
Jenelle also took to social media, but sent a confusing message after first claiming there was no event, and then stating, “I am on a business trip and traveled for one specific reason. I chose not to attend because of harassment and threats.”
However, after all the drama it appears the former reality stars did make it to Burnt River Farms and posted photos from a quiet visit.
Further trying to distance themselves from the meeting, Burnt River Farms issued another statement claiming Jenelle was the one who suggested a “meet and greet,” and it appears they did not know about David’s controversial past.
“The meet and greet was an offer by them … We don’t support abuse, neglect or racism,” BRF said on Instagram.
In the end, however, it appears Jenelle got what she was after as she posted a TikTok video of herself on a “farm tour” while surrounded by a ton of marijuana plants.
