Demi Lovato has seemingly "broken the internet" with her recent surprising announcement that her and Max Ehrich were engaged to be wed. After sharing constant affirmations of affection on social media for quite some time about Ehrich, it seemed as though it was only a matter of time before the big question was popped.

Although the 'Heart Attack' singer's fans were quick to gush over the future married couple, a source for 'HollywoodLife' claims that Lovato's family, albeit supportive of her, feel as though the relationship may be moving a little quickly.

"Demi’s family is so happy for her. Max is everything Demi’s ever wanted, she’s finally met her Prince Charming," the source led off telling the publication about the Lovato family's take on her newfound romance and how much it means to her.

For however happy Lovato is, her family is still slightly concerned about the speed at which the couple is moving, only taking up with one another earlier this year and evolving this quickly to such a committed state of being.

"It’s very fast but her family isn’t surprised. They all kind of knew it was coming because Demi has been saying that he’s the one," the source went on to mention. Despite the seemingly out-of-nowhere announcement, those closest to the singer have been able to see how happy her relationship with Ehrich genuinely makes her.

Furthermore, the source added how the months of quarantine around only each other helped further their love and culminate in the massive announcement they made recently.

"They’re all very grateful that Max has come into Demi’s life and the timing couldn’t be better. The past few months, with all the isolation has been hard on a lot of people but Demi and Max have found a silver lining. They’ve been able to spend all this time together and that’s been a huge blessing in so many ways."

With quarantine measures ever-changing in many areas of the United States, the couple must've felt it was a good time to share the news that they had made the massive step towards marriage.

Another source for the publication claims that Lovato's famous ex, Wilmer Valderrama, is extending the best wishes to her for her continued happiness and success.

"Although things didn’t work out between them, Wilmer is a firm believer that you always take certain lessons away from past relationships and they shared experiences he’ll never forget. He’s glad to see Demi found her person and Wilmer has found the love of his life in Amanda Pacheco. They both found their fairytale ending and that’s as good as it gets," the source said.
