According to a July 20 report from Hollywood Life, Denise dodged a number of “attacks” from her co-stars as they filmed the upcoming special virtually with their host, Andy Cohen, after feuding with the women throughout the episodes of the show due to her parenting drama and rumors of an alleged affair with co-star **Brandi Glanville.
“The ladies went in really hard on Denise at the reunion. Despite this, she held her own very well and fought back,” a source close to production told the outlet on Monday.
Although the ladies reportedly had a lot to say to Denise, she wasn’t completely alone during the taping. Instead, she had one of her cast mates at her side.
“Garcelle [Beauvais] jumped to her defense on several occasions, but nobody else did,” the insider said. “They [the cast] felt Denise had to answer to a lot of things and wasn’t honest all season. They felt a lot of her answers weren’t making sense.”
“The ladies came at her for sure and Denise felt attacked. She absolutely took the brunt end of the stick. She was the hottest topic at the reunion because of [husband] Aaron [Phypers] and Brandi [Glanville],” the insider continued.
As fans of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” may recall, Brandi told her cast mates during season 10 that she and Denise had engaged in a romance with one another. However, according to Denise, she has been nothing but faithful to her husband, Aaron.
Although cast member Lisa Rinna suggested that the reunion taping was “bullsh*t,” possibly due to a letter of cease and desist Denise had sent to Brandi, the insider went on to reveal that “every single topic was covered… No stone went unturned.”
As Hollywood Life also revealed, it appeared to be quite clear that there was plenty of drama at the reunion because afterwards, a number of the series’ stars unfollowed one another, including Garcelle, who unfollowed Lisa after the filming session.
Also after the taping, Denise logged into her Instagram account, where she searched for and unfollowed the accounts of her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast mates, including Erika Jayne, Lisa Rinna, and Teddi Mellencamp.
As fans will recall, Denise and Lisa had previously been friends with one another for 20 years.
