Billie Eilish recently opened up about her faith and how she used to be Betsy serious about it. Unfortunately, the singer has long given up and does not really think about it anymore.

Many celebrities have opened up in the past about their past religious lives and why they decided to let it go along the line. Ariana Grande once said that she gave up on the Catholic Church during the pontificate of Benedict XVI, noting that the church was vehemently against homosexuals. She also noted that her half-brother, Frankie is gay.

The 18-year-old singer, who owns a radio show on Apple Music titled “Me & Dad Radio,” recalled how her religious life looked like in the past and how it is now.

“I don't know if any of you know— I don’t think a I’ve ever talked about it. When I was little, when I was a little kid, I was super religious for no damn reason.” She said.

She went on to say that she did not come from a religious family and no one around her took it seriously.

“My family never was religious. I didn’t know anyone that was religious and for some reason, as a little girl, I just was incredibly religious.” The Bad Guy singer said.

According to People Magazine, the singer said she has no idea who she went from religious to anti-religion, but she did go through a difficult time in her life. The change was drastic that she had no idea why or when it happened. The same way she was religious as a child for no reason, is the same way she isn’t now.

Eilish also mentioned during the show that since then, she has come to respect people’s beliefs and try to be open minded.

“And I don’t know why that happened. I don’t know want made me that way. After that period of my life , I’ve loved the idea of other beliefs. I think that’s very pathetic to have a closed mind. It’s very lame. I love hearing people’s beliefs.” She said.

Furthermore, Eilish also revealed why she likes talking to people about their beliefs and why they do.

“... Especially if I don’t agree, because I like to listen and so like to understand. I think it’s really important to be supportive of all beliefs in the world and all opinions and not shoot people down for what they believe in.” She concluded.

Her dad, Patrick O’Connell, also gave insight into how he watched his little girl grow and own her beliefs. Nothing could make him more proud.

“From my point of view, as a parent, we did not go to church and we didn’t really talk about religion at all. And you just believed. You had all these kinds of organized thoughts about the whole thing and I thought it was pretty marvelous. I didn’t object to it. I didn’t say you can’t believe that.” He said.
