Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom will soon be welcoming their first child together -- a baby girl! The singer announced back in March that she is pregnant, and last week it was widely reported that the couple had asked "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston to be the baby's godmother.

The news was first reported by The Daily Mail, which cited sources saying that Aniston and Perry had been spending time together during coronavirus quarantine, and that Aniston cried tears of joy with Perry asked her to be the godmother.

On Monday, Perry was a guest on KIIS1065's Kyle and Jackie O, and said that all of that is nothing but a "wild rumor," and that she has "no idea" where the whole thing started.

"She texted us, because we are friendly with her and Orlando is one of her good friends, and we were like, 'Wow! This is a wild rumor,'" Perry said. "I mean, God knows, she's, you know, with her, she's had everything said about her. But I guess this is a fun rumor."

"But, you know, that is the product of the media and the internet," Perry added. "You should definitely believe everything that you read."

The "American Idol" judge also gave an update on how her pregnancy is going during the interview, and revealed it has made her "grateful" for her body.

"I'm really grateful for my body, and I have so much respect for women. And obviously going through this process is like, you know, you get a whole new viewpoint," she revealed. "But everything is swollen. My hands are swollen. My feet are starting to swell. It's starting to get to that point."

Perry also added that she's been staying as busy as possible during quarantine.

"I'm a very active woman, and during this time of COVID — and quite frankly an American revolution — I have been also putting out songs and heading towards putting out a record," Perry said. "I like not watching the hands of time roll by," she added. "I like being a mother on the move."

The new album, called Smile, is expected to come out August 14, which will likely be close to Perry's due date.

"The record is very hopeful thematically and joyful," Perry said. She added that is is about going out of a depressing and dark time in her life. She said she covered "finding hope and optimism and light at the end of the tunnel."
