A teacher at Hopkins High School in Michigan has been suspended.

The teacher allegedly said that the Oxford school shooter should have created a distraction.

The teacher explained that he “would’ve pulled a smoke detector.”

“In order to carry out his hit list and kill the people that he would need to,” he added.

Students told their parents, who reported it to school officials.

The teacher has been suspended and the investigation is still ongoing.

The remarks led to rumors that an employee was threatening to “shoot up” a school.

Over 519 schools nationwide have closed due to threats.

This includes states as far away as New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
