The due date for Katy Perry's first baby with fiancee Orlando Bloom is drawing ever closer. The singer is thrilled about welcoming her baby girl into the world this summer, and now she is revealing some of things being pregnant has taught her.

While appearing on Kiis 1065 on Monday, Perry said that they whole process has made her feel "grateful" for her body.

"I'm really grateful for my body," Perry said of her pregnancy. "I have so much respect for women — obviously, going through this process, you just get a whole new viewpoint."

She added that there are some drawbacks: "But everything is swollen," she said. "My hands are swollen, my feet are starting to swell. It's starting to get to that point."

Perry added that she's been spending her days of quarantine creating new music and staying busy. She described herself as a "mother on the move."

"I'm a very active woman, and during this time of COVID — and quite frankly an American revolution — I have been also putting out songs and heading towards putting out a record," Perry said. "I like not watching the hands of time roll by," she added. "I like being a mother on the move."

Perry went on to say that one "blessing" of the coronavirus quarantine is that she doesn't have to travel as much.

Like any pregnancy, there have been some "horrible days" for Perry, as she explained to "Extra" back in April.

"We have some horrible days where I want to cry," she said at the time. "But I believe when we look back at this, for myself, it will be this beautiful bond that we created."

Last week, Perry gave an interview to Hits Radio in which she admitted her and Bloom haven't settled on a baby name yet, but she does already have a nickname.

"I call her Kicky Perry sometimes. I love a pun," Perry said. "I'm really active right now. My doctors are like, 'Stay active, you're good. You're good to go, girl. Keep doing your thing.' So I've been dancing, I've been singing a lot."

During an interview last month, Perry said that won't settle on a name until she meets the baby for the first time.

"We have yet to decide specifically on her name because, I think, we've got options and she'll tell us," she said during an interview on Mix 104.1's Karson & Kennedy. "I'll look at her and go, 'Oh yeah yeah, you are her, you are that.'"
