Angela Simmons is now receiving as many comments about her “little cool car” as she is for looking drop-dead gorgeous standing next to it. The 32-year-old reality star and new Simmons Beauty founder updated her Instagram over the weekend with a casual look and a very unusual setting.
Angela, best known for throwing out U.S. of A vibes with her posts had gone decidedly European as she stood in front of a vintage white car boasting a mini Italian flag – even the wall-mounted sconce in the background was screaming Europe. Check it out below.
Scroll for the photo clocking the “Growing Up Hip-Hop” star over 34,000 likes overnight. It showed Angela leaning against the back of the Beetle-like vehicle on a cobbled street and shot – as stated in the caption – 100% makeup-free. Angela, whose 2019-founded Purpose App has “Built Not Bought” as its hashtag was showing off her fit frame in a simple look. The mom to 2016-born son Sutton wore acid-wash jeans with ripped details, a white t-shirt, cute blue hair bow, plus a stylish shoulder bag and plimsole sneakers.
Angela had taken to her caption, writing: “Messy bun . @fashionnova No make up . Simple Days. FashionNovaPartner.”
Keep scrolling for how much she might’ve gotten paid – a partner status is a thing on Instagram. As to the comments, they were either geared towards the shoe designer’s exquisite, makeup-free look or, inevitably, that car.
“What car is that?” one fan asked. “Is that your new ride ??♂️?” another said.
“I didn’t notice none of that nice new coop either,” a third added, with Angela also being told: “You’re beautiful, but that car thooooo!” More below.
Angela tends not to #ad her Fashion Nova posts. The partner status seems indicative of a promotional agenda on Instagram, perhaps rendering the disclaimer unnecessary. That said, it’s largely accepted that influencers take some pay for their shout-out. Vox‘s experts broke down the potential earnings.
“Influencers with up to 1 million followers can get $10,000 [per post], depending on the platform, and 1 million followers and up, you’re getting into territory where they can charge $100,000. Some can even get $250,000 for a post!”
Angela has 6.6 million Instagram followers. Skip the jump for the bikini body.
Angela continues to employ the body-positive #BuiltNotBought that accompanies her bedroom yoga swing workouts and outdoor boxing sessions – the app Angela founded last year links women through empowerment. Back in April, Angela was in the news for a raw, honest, and mismatched bikini post seeing her address her own body-image – for which she received high praise.
“She’s not perfect, her weight fluctuates, she has her days when she’s not sure … she doesn’t have a 6 pack…Throughout this all she’s learned to love herself unconditionally… because if she didn’t who would ? She is me . And I am her … ” Angela wrote.
