Alexandra Daddario has sparked a massive wave of weight-related comments on her Instagram. The 34-year-old actress whose curves definitely proved a part of her identity during her famous nude “True Detective” scene now sees fans worrying that she’s gotten way too skinny.
Alexandra, followed by 16.4 million, updated her Instagram as the weekend kicked off. She posted a solo and nature-centric bikini shot showing her wading through waters and backed by rocks. Scroll for the photo snagging Daddario 1.8 million likes overnight. Then again, the reactions weren’t all the thumbs-up.
Alexandra’s photo is below. The above one dates back to April when the star teased her new YouTube channel by splashing about a hot tub in a spicy red swimsuit.
Friday night’s photo showed Alexandra shot far out and in a sporty black bikini with a matching face mask – and yes, fans did wonder why the face cover was on in a solo setting. The image showed the “Baywatch” actress with some rippling muscles on show. It also opted out of a caption.
A quick look at the comments section shows two prevailing thoughts. “Sexiest woman alive” was a reply racking up over 600 likes, however remarks suggesting that Daddario looks unhealthy outranked the comment in terms of total likes and the sentiment being repeated.
“Girl, you better eat a hamburger, you’re skin and bones,” one fan wrote, with a sandwich offer also coming in.
“Maybe she sick that’s why she skinny. Definitely need to eat more tamales,” one user remarked. The comment generated a separate storm as fans backing Daddario felt that a woman should not be critiqued for her appearance. More below.
Alexandra, whose lock-down updates have included food with last week showing an outdoor picnic with cherries, continued to garner remarks. One user told the star to “eat something.” However, those offering back-up did arrive.
“I watched her in San Andreas and she hasn’t changed much since then, maybe a few pounds less, but nothing much. She was normal then, and she’s still normal looking now,” a fan wrote.
“Mate, you need to stop commenting on a woman’s appearance” was another response. Skip the jump for Alexandra’s “spectacle” photo.
Alexandra’s social media isn’t updated too often, but the posts landing on the New Yorker’s feed have kept fans on their toes amid the pandemic. Daddario rocked a bathrobe from a tree to show off her lemons earlier this year. She’s also been indulging in the quarantine well-being trend, posting a cabin yoga photo of herself dangling her head upside-down earlier this month.
Elsewhere, comments left to the photo took the amusing route. “With a mask ?,” a popular comment read.
