Jasmine Goode appeared on a recent episode of Scheana Shay‘s podcast, “Scheananigans,” where she opened up about the possibility of joining the cast of “Vanderpump Rules” for its upcoming ninth season.
“I mean, for me it’s one of those things where if it makes sense at the time, sure. So maybe I would,” Jasmine admitted, according to a report shared by Us Weekly magazine on July 17.
“I think it’d be great!” Jasmine continued of a role on “Vanderpump Rules.”
“One, I think it’d be great because you guys do not have anybody that looks anything like me on the show,” she explained, “So No. 1, you need some [Black] representation there. … The thing about ‘Vanderpump’ which I love, the reason I would consider it is because it’s not like ‘The Bachelor’ where it’s all about love. This is your life. You’re filming your life, everyday things, and I think that’s so cool.”
Jasmine, who first made her television debut on the 21st season of “The Bachelor” years ago as she attempted to win the heart of Nick Viall, went on to suggest that the production team behind “Vanderpump Rules” may have already reached out to her about a role on their series.
“I’m friends with [the cast], of course,” she shared. “It’s like, if I’m filming, yes, I’ll film with Scheana. It’s not a big deal. … This is what we normally do.”
According to Jasmine, she would want to use her platform for good if she was to be added to the “Vanderpump Rules” cast for season nine.
“I want to use it. Like, if I’m gonna be on the show, I’m using this show for what I’m trying to do, not just to be the cool queen bee or the baddest b***h,” she revealed. “A lot of people go on the show and they just want to be, like, this character. Be this thing. And maybe because I’ve been on a TV show so I already don’t care about that part.”
Jasmine went on to say that when it comes to her potential role, she certainly wouldn’t hold back.
“To me, it’s more like, it’s gonna be very real and authentic and … that’s why I’m kinda scared if I did do it because I’m too honest and I don’t give a sh*t,” she admitted.
No word yet on when filming on the ninth season of “Vanderpump Rules” will begin. However, when it does, the entire cast will likely have to undergo testing to ensure they are not COVID-19-positive.
