Justin Bieber is taking major heat after refusing to cancel a concert in Saudi Arabia, and following through with the performance.

The 'Yummy' singer just took the stage in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as a part of the F1 Grand Prix weekend, and videos are surfacing on social media of him pumping up the packed crowd. Many of Justin's fans campaigned to have him cancel this performance due to the country's human rights issues.

On Sunday, Saudi Arabia hosted the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Formula One race for the first time ever. Justin joined A$AP Rocky and Jason Derulo headline a concert for the race. "International pop star Justin Bieber is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 150 million records worldwide. Saudi Arabia’s brutal dictatorship uses the glamor of global entertainers like Bieber to hide its brutal human rights record from the world. Meanwhile, the Saudi monarchy starves Yemen’s children, imprisons and tortures women’s rights activists, and, in 2018, murdered Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi," the petition read.

Also, #JustinDontGo trended on Twitter.

Shockingly, the widowed fiancee of Jamal Khashoggi wrote an open letter published in the Washington Post asking Justin Bieber not to perform in Saudi Arabia. "Do not sing for the murderers of my beloved Jamal," the letter read. Adding, "Send the powerful world message to the world that your name and your talent will not be used to restore the reputation of a regime that kills its opponents. Please speak out loud and condemn his killer, Mohammed bin Salman."

See Justin Beiber's Controversial Performance!

Following Justin's decision to perform, the singer was lit up on social media. "I don’t even really care if an artist is a good person but if you do, y’all need to cancel Justin Bieber

over his performance in Saudi Arabia. It doesn’t get more unethical than that folks," one person tweeted.

Another added, "So disappointing that you actually went and did the Saudi Arabian show. Wow. Are you that desperate for the $$$?"

It should be noted, it's unclear if Justin Beiber was paid for his appearance at the race. But, we are guessing the pop star didn't make the long trip overseas for his health. Plus, Bieber gets paid to sing on stage, and that's exactly what he is doing. According to reports, Justin's set included "Deserve You," "Somebody," and "Hold On."

"Justin Bieber Goes Through with Saudi Arabia Concert Amid Backlash Guess $ is more important than doing the right thing! Shame on you Justin! Guess $285 Million isn’t enough for you?" one person tweeted -- pointing out the singer's net worth. Again, many are questioning why someone like Justin would do this for money. Obviously, he doesn't need it.

Interestingly, Bieber didn't publicize the event prior to his appearance -- although he did re-post video from himself on stage. His wife, Hailey Bieber, also promoted his performance on Instagram.
