Pop Smoke's death will not go without justice being served, as four people have now been charged in connection with the rapper's murder, and two of the alleged killers are facing the death penalty. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office made the announcement on Monday afternoon that two adult men and two teens have been arrested over Pop Smoke's murder, which occurred during a Hollywood Hills home invasion and robbery back in February. Pop Smoke was shot and killed during the break-in.

The D.A. also announced the names of the two adults involved while explaining why they are facing elevated charges:

"Corey Walker (dob 11/22/00) and Keandre Rodgers (dob 2/12/02) were each charged today in case BA488518 with murder with the special circumstance allegation that the murder occurred during the commission of a robbery and a burglary, making them eligible for the death penalty."

The D.A. also stated the criminal complaint mentions gang affiliations, and that the other two defendants, two male juveniles, ages 17 and 15, "were each charged with one count of murder and robbery in juvenile court."

Pop Smoke, whose posthumous album was just released by 50 Cent, was murdered while renting a home from "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Teddi Mellencamp and her husband, Edwin Arroyave.

The D.A. described the event that tragically took Pop Smoke's life:

"On February 19, sometime around 4 a.m., the defendants are accused of breaking into a home in the Hollywood Hills where 20-year-old Bashar Barakah Jackson, known as Pop Smoke, was staying. Jackson was shot and killed."

Even though Pop Smoke's murder is still under an active investigation by the LAPD, the District Attorney felt they had enough to go forward prosecuting the individuals currently in custody.

The tie-in with Teddi Mellencamp and her husband is interesting, and it's currently unclear if they will be involved in the criminal prosecution of the four suspects. Back in February, she told fans all that she knew after finding out that a murder had taken place at her Hollywood Hills property.

"Early this am we were informed by a 3rd party leasing and management company overseeing a rental home we own in Los Angeles that a shooting had taken place at the property. Foremost, we would like to extend our prayers and condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss of life. We aren’t aware of any of the details beyond what we’ve been told or seen reported on the news and at this time we would like to refrain from commenting further as we wish for the focus to remain on the law enforcement officers who are diligently doing their jobs."
