Kate Upton literally deadlifted 110 pounds ahead of the weekend, uploading her impressive workout moment to Instagram. The Sports Illustrated model and actress whose post-baby body continues to make waves updated her account in tiny pink shorts to show her mega strength – Kate is now making headlines for being back in her trademark bikini as she recovers from the exercise that was more than just a dumbbell lift.
Scroll for the video and the 28-year-old’s stunning bikini body – plus the amusing reactions to her deadlift.
Kate’s video is below. It showed the blonde in a small gym and gearing up for her deadlift while wearing a tiny pink pair of shorts and a loud, upbeat, and tie-dye sweatshirt that shouted out Ben Bruno Training. Kate, who welcomed baby girl Genevieve in November 2018, was looking lean and mean in white sneakers. She took a breath and squatted down to deliver multiple reps with the weight that was way bigger than her head.
The post currently sits at over 650,000 views. Amusing reactions after the video.
It takes a beady eye to spot that a snoozing dog in the background was, indeed, seemingly unfussed and definitely uninvolved. Kate had taken to her caption to write: “I don’t know what’s cooler: deadlifting 110lbs or my new @benbrunotraining sweatshirt?.”
Replies have been pouring in. “Both,” one fan wrote. “Have you ever pulled a muscle? If you haven’t you will!” another warned. A fan also added: “Your dog can’t be bothered ?.”
Kate, followed by 6.2 million on Instagram did, however, garner a little negativity – a comment gaining over 20 likes called the whole thing “pathetic.” More after the jump.
Kate is now in the news for being back in her swimwear and knocking the camera dead in a white string bikini during a sun-drenched Miami photoshoot. The photos come approximately six months after Kate opened up on having her body scrutinized – back in January, Kate also fronted media outlets for a storm where she described breastfeeding as “sucking the energy away from me.”
Speaking on the “Skimm’d from The Couch” podcast that same month, Kate recalled the success and attention she’d garnered from her 2012 Sports Illustrated cover. More below.
Kate stated that the success felt “incredible” at first. She continued: “It was not great,” with a laugh, adding: “A lot of [the attention] was negative, and even the positive stuff was really creepy.”
Kate has been spending her quarantine working out. On June 12, the model shared a kettlebell training video, which she captioned: “28 reps with 28kg and I’ll probably be sore for 28days! Really felt my age here. @benbrunotraining feel free to skip my birthday gift next year!”
