Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom Reportedly Ask 'Friends' Star To Godmother Their Child

In a brand new story that just released this week, it was announced that Perry had chosen the iconic “Friends” actress Jennifer Aniston to be her baby’s godmother.

Historically, Katy and Jennifer have had a truly wonderful relationship. Some have wondered when the idea for Jennifer to become the (yet to be born) baby’s godmother.

Was it years past they discussed it? Or was this more recently a decided move after a heartfelt discussion?

While that may not be fully certain right now, one thing is for certain, and that is how Jennifer is thrilled about the news!

Aniston was absolutely thrilled to be asked to be Katy’s baby’s godmother. In fact, a source detailed how touched she was that Perry would give her such a meaningful role in their family.

“She is pretty chuffed about it as well,” the source said of Aniston. “And [she] cried when they asked her.”

At this point, it isn’t hard to assume that Jennifer will be attending Perry’s wedding, and there should be some exceptional photos taken of the bride and her together.

Another recent update that Perry shared during a virtual U.K.’s Hits Radio interview, was that she doesn’t support Kanye being president.

““I think, you know, what we’ve learned looking back is that the presidential job is best suited for someone with experience and that is a pro in their field," she responded.

“I think we have seen and learned from experience that when we don't have pros in position, that it can get a little wild," Perry continued.

She didn’t entirely shoot down the artist though, expressing how much she loves him as an artist.

"I love Kanye," said Perry. "He is amazing. I just, you know, I love him as an artist. And I think he’s an incredible disrupter as an artist and a conversation-maker as an artist. And that’s what I love the most about him."

So far, it is unclear who Perry is politically supporting, and lately her attention has been on personal family matters. In light of her pregnancy and desire to setup an elegant wedding, she has been frequently posting maternity updates on her social media.
