“Teen Mom” star Kailyn Lowry announced back in February that she is pregnant with her fourth child, and now she’s revealing that this might not be her last. On her “Coffee Convos” podcast this week, Lowry said that she has always wanted a big family and revealed just how big that family could eventually get.
“Six is my max. I don’t think I would have… I’m not confirming or denying, I’m just saying that I would not have more than six,” she said.
Lowry went on to explain her reasoning for always wanting to have a lot of kids.
“I just feel like, I’ve said it before, I’m sure these people are sick of hearing me say it, but I just didn’t have siblings and, like, family before. And so, like, having a big family was always — I don’t want to say always but since I started having kids — I think I always wanted my kids to have siblings,” Lowry said.
On the same podcast, she revealed that her pregnancy is now considered high risk due to her weight. Lowry said when she got pregnant she was already the heaviest she’d ever been. Thankfully, she and the baby are currently healthy and doctors have found no issues.
“My glucose is good. All my stuff is good. So I went into the doctor today and I saw a new doctor,” she said.
Lowry’s plan all along has been to have a home birth, but the new doctor joined other specialists she’s seen in advising against that. The doctor told her that women lose more blood each time they give birth, so if she’s home and loses too much blood she won’t be able to have an immediate transfusion.
“This is now the third doctor that’s giving me a different reason for why I should be induced instead of home birth,” she explained. “And then on top of it said, ‘Because you’re anemic, because you lose more blood with every baby, we wouldn’t want to see you get a blood transfusion.’”
When she announced her pregnancy on Instagram, one person commented, “[I] wouldn’t be surprised if you get pregnant after this birth all over again.
Her replied made it clear that she likely will have more kids at some point. “Me neither. What’s your point?” she said.
“We’re confirming the news, baby #4 is coming soon! I’m almost 16 weeks pregnant & it’s been a rough few months this time around. I’ve had nausea, morning sickness, and absolutely no energy,” Lowry announced on Instagram on February 4.
