Kristin Cavallari is facing backlash for spending her weekend showing off a boujee lifestyle that most definitely wasn’t social distancing. The 33-year-old reality star updated her Instagram on Saturday with Hollywood’s latest health trend – that’s volunteering your own arm up for an IV and getting some rehydration as your reward. Kristin’s photo showed her with three friends: real estate agent Char Riley, plus pals Brittany Field and Chelsea Bulte.

The photo was a summery backyard one, with all four ladies shot far out and showing off their legs in tiny shorts. Kristin, who was throwing out the peace sign, was seen in a white shirt with a Marilyn Monroe print as she sat on oversized couches, also hooked up to an IV.
The “Very Cavallari” star had tagged Arete – the Tennessee-based rejuvenation company offers intravenous therapies for “dehydration-based ailments” including hangovers, jet lag, and food poisoning. Its vein-delivered products are said to contain “fluid, electrolytes, vitamins, and amino acids.” More below.
Despite clocking herself over 67,000 likes and a celebrity like from 22-year-old “Chrisley Knows Best” star Savannah Chrisley, Kristin faced some questions – and some negativity.
“Is everything okay?? Why are there hydration drips?” one fan asked. “A drip. Ok. ???,” another said. Others, meanwhile, had their minds on the growing coronavirus status in the U.S., with both cases and deaths reaching all-time records in July. “☹️no masks and no social distancing is sad,” one fan wrote. More after the jump.
One fan kept it blunt as they wrote: “No social distancing no masks no give a f-ck.” Kristin, followed by 4 million on Instagram was also told she should be setting a better example on the social distancing front:
“With so many new covid cases in TN, you should really use your platform to encourage your followers to wear masks…not sit so close to each other and do unnecessary IV treatments,” a user wrote. The popular trend has also been seen from the likes of singer Justin Bieber and British reality judge Simon Cowell. More below.
Kristin, who once made headlines for getting a similar IV treatment with estranged husband Jay Cutler on “Very Cavallari,” didn’t find herself universally slammed.
“Isn’t it great to just sit and enjoy friends with a glass of wine. It’s what I prefer over clubs and bars anyway. Cheers beautiful ladies!” one fan wrote.
Kristin has also made headlines this month for her 4th of July, spent in Barrington, IL with kids Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor – all shared with NFL player Jay.
