Mackenzie McKee‘s cheerleader past seemed to come in handy ahead of the weekend. The “Teen Mom OG” star whose flexibility can see her doing her “morning reading” while in the splits updated her Instagram on Friday with a little gymnastics.
If you don’t live inside Mackenzie’s Instagram, the 25-year-old recently made headlines for limiting comments to her social media. She also announced that all posts featuring her kids would have comments disabled – “rotten teeth” remarks and suggestions her youngest might have cancer proved too much as the trolling mounted up. Scroll for the snaps.
Mackenzie’s photo, seen below, proved she hasn’t lost the handstand knack. It showed the mom to Jaxie, Gannon, and Broncs in a handstand and from the deck of a boat – Mackenzie was upside-down as she eased perfectly into the move, also rocking a cute pink sports bra, plus a pair of black-and-pink shorts. A scenic river view was mentioned in the caption.
As to Mackenzie being a fitness model, the Body By Mac founder made headlines in July 2019 for competing in an oiled-up bikini as she dipped her toes into the fitness modeling arena. More below.
A caption from McKee read: “I always get a handstand photo in all the special places i go. Today was simple and special. On the river where my mom and dad spent a lot of time together catching fish.”
Mackenzie is, of course, still grieving over the December 2019 loss of mom Angie Douthit. Despite having been a marathon runner and never having smoked a cigarette in her life, Angie developed aggressive lung cancer, with the battle being lost. Scroll for more.
Mackenzie’s headline-making this year has been busy, including rocky husband Josh, accusations he cheated on her with a cousin, plus Mackenzie raising her three kids solo. The MTV franchise Mackenzie re-joined in 2019 has, however, experienced a dip in ratings. Mackenzie, though, has been personally told that her storyline is “the only one worth watching,” as The Blast reported earlier this year.
Fan comments to the handstand post have been coming in. Mackenzie was called “impressive,” alongside receiving support following the backlash generated by her kiddy pool photo last week.
Mackenzie dedicates many an Instagram update to deceased mom Angie, with fans likely remembering footage of the much-loved grandma. Fans appeared to find the update yesterday adorable. One wrote: “I know you felt close to her there. I go those places too to feel my parent’s presence.”
Mackenzie shot to fame on MTV’s “16 & Pregnant” before briefly appearing on “Teen Mom 3.” Last year, she was trialed out on “Teen Mom OG.” Her appearances prove popular. They’re also proving lucrative, with Mackenzie’s “ramen” to riches story recently seeing her buy a spanking new SUV all-cash.
