Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith's explosive conversation during the latest episode of 'Red Table Talk' regarding the rumors that she had an affair with singer August Alsina left many questions answered and still many more unanswered.

After the pair cleared the air surrounding the rumors of Pinkett Smith's infidelity and their position as a married couple, it appears that some things were left off the table, which a new source is elaborating on to give context and paint Alsina in a better light.

Prior to the episode airing, reps for the Smiths claimed that the rumors propagated by Alsina were not true, but Friday's episode came to reveal that the couple had reportedly split for a short period a few years back which is when Pinkett Smith reportedly began seeing Alsina romantically, which she described as an "entanglement."

However, Pinkett Smith maintained that she did not consider her time with Alsina a "transgression" because of the fact that her and the 'Bad Boys' actor were split up at the time.

However, a Hollywood actress who is close with the family claims that the "strategic" rollout of precious information regarding the Smith family is all a ploy for attention propagated by Pinkett Smith.

"Now, because [August] is speaking up, now you want to have a ‘Red Table’? I will tell you what’s gonna happen. I bet you [Will and Jada] will be glorified," the unnamed actress commented about the current heightened tensions in the Smith family due to the intense rumors circling.

I think he could’ve said a lot more regarding Jada and he didn’t, I believe he was truly hurt about his break-up with Jada," the source continued to mention to the publication.

According to details from a family friend of the Smiths, Alsina was originally brought around the family because he was struggling at the time.

"Will and Jada have big hearts, they look after people. Look, August is troubled — he’s had a lot of things to deal with and they wanted to help him," the source said.

"You can look at August and see that there’s a certain amount of pain that he is feeling, and you can hear in his words that he’s trying to speak his truth while still protecting the Smiths," the unnamed actress continued to recount.

"Jada [previously] said she was mentoring him . . . what kind of mentoring was she giving him where he felt he gave his all to a relationship that has left him devastated and hurt? You did not help him, you helped destroy him," she added.
