George Clooney is a well-respected veteran in the Hollywood movie industry, and many fans want to see him gracing their screens constantly.

In a recent interview, Clooney opened up about why he has not been in as many movies as people expect.

The "Up In The Air" actor also detailed turning down a hefty sum for an ad that did not require more than 24 hours of his time.

"The Tender Bar" Director Speaks On Acting Less Over The Years

In an interview with The Guardian, about the latest film he is directing, "The Tender Bar." Clooney explained that his absence from the acting scene was because "there just aren't that many great parts."

The three-time Golden Globe winner confessed that he does not have to act because he and his wife Amal already love what they do.

In December, Cloney got candid about how fatherhood at his age influences his choices about work and life in an appearance on the "WTF with Marc Maron" podcast.

The doting father said he had a conversation with his wife Amal when he turned 60 about needing to make their family of 4-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, a priority.

Clooney noted the importance of him and his spouse not overbooking themselves. So he does not act much, partly to ensure they still live their lives.

Clooney has reached a height in his career where peace trumps work, even if the work is for a day and offers millions of dollars.

In another part of the two-time Academy Award Winner's interview with The Guardian, he was asked if he feels he is rich enough currently. 

Clooney replied that he does and detailed turning down a $35 million offer for 24 hours of work on an airline commercial after discussing it with his wife, Amal.

The 60-year-old mentioned that his decision was because the commercial was related to a country whose alliance with the United States is sometimes questionable.

The "From Dusk To Dawn" actor explained, "if it takes a minute's sleep away from me, it's not worth it.' "

"The Tender Bar" will be available in select theatres on December 17, while the nationwide premiere is December 22.

On January 7, 2022, the movie which stars fellow Academy Award winner Ben Affleck will also be available for streaming via Amazon Prime Video.

George Clooney Talks Positive Hollywood Reformation 

Getting the opportunity to spend enough time with family seems like a good enough reason to tone down the running around a bit.

Last month, The Blast shared that Clooney went from being vehemently against the idea of having offspring to being an adoring father who turns down millions to spend time with his twins.

The "Fantastic Mr. Fox" actor told PEOPLE how Amal changed his views on marriage and fatherhood.

Clooney said he and the iconic human rights attorney plan to show their children affection while teaching them essential life lessons.

The Director noted that he learned how to survive many situations because of his past trials, and he wishes to impart these skills to his twins.
