When it comes to keeping things real, Gabrielle Union is always 100% honest about her life, especially her mistakes.
The Hollywood sensation is the proud mother of a beautiful daughter Kaavia James, in addition to being a co-parent to her husband, Dwyane Wade's three children.
The 49-year-old entertainer recently opened up about the struggles of juggling her responsibilities as a parent and a celebrity in a heartfelt post on Instagram.
Gabrielle Union Revealed The Difficulties Facing Working Mothers
On Friday, December 3, the "Breaking In" star shared a series of adorable pictures of herself sharing a warm embrace with her daughter Kaavia.
The mother and daughter were captured smiling brightly at each other, but these precious moments sprouted from the actress's guilt.
In the candid post, the "Welcome to the Party" author confessed that being committed to her career made it difficult to be present at Kaavia's special occasions.
The "Bring It On" star was saddened about missing out on her daughter's life, and the entertainer shared her struggles with fans by writing:
"Hardest part about being a working Mom is missing important events in your kid's lives. Today I missed @kaaviajames holiday program at school and felt so awful to disappoint her."
Although the 49-year-old couldn't be there in person to cheer her baby girl, the outspoken advocate for women issues did the "next best thing" by showering her daughter with love before going to work.

The "Being Mary Jane" Star Has Experienced The "Best And Worst" Moments
Union may have joined the parenting scene late, but the renowned entertainer is not letting that stop her from being a great mother.
The "Think Like A Man" star wrote a powerful essay for Refinery29's No Bad Moms in 2020, where she expressed her thoughts on motherhood.
The actress explained that she was absolved of any form of "mom guilt" because she had experienced the "best and the worst of what the world has to offer."
The children's book author stated that these good and bad moments came from joining the parenting game in her mid-40s, which was why the writer refused to feel guilty.
The proud mother wrote that she wouldn't feel bad for focusing on her career or prioritizing her health because it wasn't possible to be a "great mom" without being a "great person."
The "Almost Christmas" actress implored mothers to do their best to instill essential virtues in their children rather than let society make decisions for them. In her words,
"All we can hope is that we raise people who are going to be accountable for themselves. We're all built differently, and I have zero guilt about that."
The Blast previously shared that Union's inability to conceive a child broke the Hollywood heartthrob's heart in more ways than one.
The author made the shocking confession in her memoir "You Got Anything Stronger?" in which she shared the heartbreaking details of her husband's relationship with another woman.
Before the couple got married, Wade conceived a child with Aja Metoyer in 2013, and this experience destroyed the actress's soul as she couldn't have a child with the NBA star.
