Joel Osteen 2014 Lakewood Church Burglary In Question After Money Found In Walls

Joel Osteen and Lakewood Church are looking mighty shady at this time. The smiling pastor’s church walls are allegedly holding an undisclosed amount of cash. The church claimed to have been burgled of $600,000 back in 2014 but people are questioning if it was all some kind of scam.
Plumber Found Money In The Walls Of Lakewood Church
Radio host George Lindsey received a bizarre call on his radio show “Morning Bullpen” from a plumber. The plumber shared that while doing work on the property they found a lot of money. “There was a loose toilet in the wall, and we removed the tile,” stated the caller.
“We went to go remove the toilet, and I moved some insulation away and about 500 envelopes fell out of the wall, and I was like ‘Oh wow!’” yeah, wow indeed. Inside the envelopes was “cash and checks”.
The plumber did the godly thing. “I went ahead and contacted the maintenance supervisor that was there, and I turned it all in”.
Money Found In Lakewood Church Walls Is Suspicious
https://t.co/X1RrDcbI4D#JoelOlsteen steals his own money, obviously files a fraudulent insurance claim for a phony break in, buries the money in a honey hole for safe keeping, and no one's the wiser until Joe the fvcking Plumber fixed a crapper. Clearly embezzlement and fraud.

Now, let’s not jump to any conclusions the money in the walls and the 2014 burglary are probably not connected but Twitter definitely thought it was suspect AF.
“#JoelOlsteen steals his own money, obviously files a fraudulent insurance claim for a phony break-in, buries the money in a honey hole for safekeeping, and no one's the wiser until Joe the f***ing Plumber fixed a crapper. Clearly embezzlement and fraud.”
Another Twitter user thought Osteen couldn’t possibly know that there was money in his church walls. “Not sure if many are aware but, in the church, setting it’s the ushers that handle the money before the Pastor. There is always a lead usher to watch over the ones that count the money. Someone was cuffin and I highly doubt it was Osteen himself..”
Lakewood Church Burglary Still Unsolved
While plumbers are busy finding money and checks in the bathroom walls, Crime Stoppers was on the 2014 case offering up a $25,000 reward for any tips leading to the recovery of the money. Unfortunately, for the blue-collar worker, the statute of limitations has expired.
So, if the money does turn out to be the stolen cash, he gets nothing. Meanwhile, Osteen is busy dealing with other issues involving money and his megachurch.
Lakewood Church Took PPP Loans
When the world shut down due to COVID-19, Osteen claimed that Lakewood Church was in dire need of help. The church received $4 million from the Federal Government in 2020. When the news broke, the charming pastor initially denied the allegations.
However, the church later decided to volunteer to pay back the money they claimed to not have received at all. The widespread criticism over Osteen’s church taking PPP loans, the alleged burglary, and now finding money in walls doesn’t help the already shady rep the church has built up.
Twitter continues to light up the pastor asking for action to be taken against him and Lakewood Church and even going as far as comparing the pastor to acting like a “drug dealer”. Yikes, not a good look.
How the Church Members need to handle this #JoelOlsteen situation with the hidden money that was claimed to have been stolen which you know he asked them to help donate more to recoup it! pic.twitter.com/THUXNRNNbi
