The beans don't burn in the kitchen, especially if its Chrissy Teigen's kitchen and the beans are from Goya Foods. The 34-year-old Sports Illustrated model is leading the charge of a boycott against popular bean producer, Goya, after the CEO was heard praising President Donald Trump during a White House meeting. One of the biggest problems is that Goya is a staple in many Latino households, who now feel that they cannot support a company and administration that has shown so much hatred for the Hispanic and Latino community.

On Thursday President Trump invited a group of Hispanic supporters to the White House as he signed the "Hispanic Prosperity Initiative," which promised more taxpayer support for charter and private schools, as well as tax benefits for development in urban neighborhoods.

Goya Foods CEO Robert Unanue attended the signing, and aside from announcing the company was donating millions of cans of product to food banks, he also took a moment for some praise for Trump:

"We're all truly blessed at the same time to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder," Unanue said.

Huge Backlash

As the Goya company was founded by hard-working immigrants, many customers immediately sounded off about their displeasure for the CEO being so kind to Trump, who has been extremely harsh on Latino communities and the relationship with neighboring Hispanic countries, like Mexico.

"Americans should think twice before buying their products," former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro tweeted after the comment was made.

Castro added, "Bob Unanue, is praising a president who villainizes and maliciously attacks Latinos for political gain."

The boycott soon began trending on Twitter, which soon caught the attention of Hollywood.

Chrissy Teigen, who is a lover of food and cooking, was one of the first celebrities to react to the Goya CEO turning his back on their loyal customers.

"FUUUUUUUCK. A shame. Don’t care how good the beans taste though. Bye bye," Teigen wrote on Thursday evening as the news made its way around Twitter.

Tons of fans soon began voicing their anger towards Goya for supporting an administration that has been hurtful to their communities.

"Best president ever??? You mean the one that put children in cages? That one?" one passionate person tweeted.

"@GoyaFoods is standing on the wrong side of history when our people are being demonized and our children are being incarcerated [sic]. Not one penny to #Goya," another commented.

Goya has not yet responded to the backlash and boycott.
