Former "Glee" star Naya Rivera is missing and presumed dead after a fateful boating outing with her son turned into a supposed tragedy, and fans are pointing to her last message on social media as a possible explanation for what went wrong. Authorities in Ventura County suspended the search at Lake Piru, a popular destination in Southern California, on Wednesday evening because of the darkness, but picked up the search again at first light on Thursday.

"We hope for the best, we prepare for the worst," Deputy Chris Dyer said in a news conference Thursday morning.

Naya Rivera's 4-year-old son, Josey Dorsey, whom she had with actor Ryan Dorsey, is alive and safe and back with family after being discovered sleeping on the unattended drifting boat by another boater on the lake. Josey reportedly told authorities that his mother jumped into the lake but did not get back on to the boat.

In the wake of 33-year-old Naya's disappearance, fans are pointing to her last Instagram and Tweet that featured a loving picture of herself with her son.

"Just the two of us," Naya wrote while embracing Josey.

Naya's post, at first glance, seems to be a loving photo with her son, but other fans are reading into it and comparing the caption to rapper Eminem's 1997 hit song, "Just The Two Of Us." The infamous song features disturbing audio that alleges the character of Eminem is killing his ex-wife by drowning her in a lake in front of their daughter.

Some fans on Naya's Twitter feed posted the lyrics and asked others to take a closer look.

The Lyrics

"Da-da made a nice bed for mommy at the bottom of the lake // Here, you wanna help da-da tie a rope around this rock? (yeah!) // We'll tie it to her footsie then we'll roll her off the dock // Ready now, here we go, on the count of free // One, two, free, whee! (woosh!) // There goes mama, splashing in the water."

The lyrics to Eminem's 1997 track were controversial at the time as he had been in a public spat with his ex-wife, Kim.

"Strange to me that her last photo was captioned the same as this song, with such lyrics," one fan wrote on Twitter.

Not Giving Up Hope

Another fan pointed to the last group of Naya's posts and believed the actress was counting down to something more monumental:

"Omg!!! Just the “two” of us... when she was counting down on some of her posts and she ends up with this particular photo of her and her son...she ends it with “ two” and now it’s just him left 😭😭😭..there’s a lot going on here. Some of her previous posts are a bit 🤯🤯🤯 but if you look at them closely and read the captions, it’s like she was counting down to let us know when it’s going to be her last time with her this last one..that’s my theory. I just hope and pray she’s still alive."

Others dismissed the conspiracy theories and are just praying that Naya is found:

"Come home, Naya. Your family needs you. Get home safely."

Authorities resumed their search Thursday morning for the actress.
