Many people already know how wealthy members of the Royal family are. However did you know that extensive amounts of the lavish lifestyle the members live are mostly funded by the taxpayers of the UK? This is really surprising since you would think that the Royal family was born into money. Maybe some of it, but most of it is paid for by the taxpayers of Britain.

Because of this, many fans believe it's only right that they get to see inside the personal lives of the Royal family. Since this is the case, they have all lived for many decades under a 'never complain or explain philosyphy.

Although Meghan Markle was already living under the spotlight as a celebrity in Hollywood, she wasn't prepared for the kind of lifestyle the Royal family lives. In fact, before marrying Prince Harry, when she was active as an actress she was used to the idea of defending herself against the lies the media reported about her. But, once she became a member of the Royal family, she was not allowed to do so any longer. After marrying Prince Harry, she lived this lifestyle for months. She was constantly under attack by the UK tabloids and couldn't do anything about it.

After living this way for many months, Markle could no longer stand it. This is when Prince Harry announced to the public that the two of them were exiting the Royal family. One reason was because of how the media treated Meghan. The other reason was to provide a normal life for their son, Archie.

One of the stipulations of leaving the Royal family was that they would become financially independent. However, things in this area have stalled for them since Covid-19 began.

Because of Covid-19, since things have stalled for the couple, they have not earned any money since the Royal exit happened in March 2020. In fact, the last time Harry made any kind of money was when he made $1 million for giving a speech in Miami, Florida at a JP Morgan event.

After leaving the Royal family for Canada, and then leaving Canada for Los Angeles, Meghan and Harry had a team of people in Hollywood working with them to help them launch their new lifestyle.

Another stipulation of their exit from the Royal family was that they would drop their titles. Because of this, they had to close down one of their charitable foundations called Sussex Royal, since it has the word Royal in it and they can no longer be called Royals.

However, before they created Sussex Royal, they had an idea for a charitable organization they named Archewell, after their son and because Arche is the Greek word for 'source of action.'

Archewell is an organization that includes movies, podcasts, clothing, charity services, retreats, lectures, and online seminars. But because they are focusing their efforts on helping out during the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement, Archewell has been put on hold for a while. It is on hold, at least until 2021.

However, because of the pandemic putting things on hold, they are not doing anything to make any money. They are living in Tyler Perry's $18 million mansion, which has eight bedrooms and 18 bathrooms. He is not charging them rent because he is good friends with Oprah Winfrey, who is good friends with Meghan and Harry.

However, they still need to get back to earning money because they have to pay the taxpayers back for renovations they had gotten done to Frogmore Cottage while living as members of the Royal family. This was another stipulation of them being able to exit the family. They also have to pay for their own living expenses and some legal fees they owe.

Although they are worth around $30 million, they haven't earned any money since Harry made the $1 million for the speech in February. They haven't received that money yet because of everything that has been put on hold because of the pandemic.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight, "They do need to make money. They’ve been in LA since March, they left the Royal Family at the end of March, and as yet, they haven’t actually earned anything.”

Let's hope the couple will get things figured out soon!
