The "Game of Thrones" shout-out is a staple in the conversation of any fantasy-themed enthusiast. For those unfamiliar, "Winter is coming" is the motto of House Stark, one of the Great Houses of Westeros and central focuses from the HBO series. The meaning behind the family saying is one of warning and constant vigilance.

The actress seemed to be dropping the punny caption in reference to her platinum blonde hair, which now resembles that of Queen Daenerys Targaryen, played by actress Emilia Clarke.

The similarity is definitely there between the two stars, and Winter is living in the moment while pretending to be the Mother of Dragons. Fans agreed with her comparison and dropped some "GoT" love in the comments of her post.

"Real life Queen of dragons," one fan quipped. "Look more Targaryen than Stark," another fan wrote.

Others felt Winter was giving off different vibes of another celebrity, with one fan commenting, "Oh hello there Miss Marilyn Monroe."

Regardless of who she resembled, everyone agreed that Winter's new look is gorgeous.

Modern Targaryens?

It's possible Ariel Winter is hinting at another project she may be involved in, now that the 10-year run of ABC's "Modern Family" has come to a close. HBO has already announced the plans for a 22 premiere of a "Game of Thrones" prequel, titled, "House of the Dragon."

Executives have announced that the series will take place, "300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen."

With the OG "GoT" cast probably not involved due to the massive time span, it's not completely out of the question Winter shows up as a young Dragon tamer.

We can only hope!
