Prince Charles & Son Harry Are Speaking Again After Megxit

The royal rift between Prince Harry and his father Prince Charles apparently was a very real issue. With reports indicating that the two had not spoken at all in the last 8 months. According to a recently published book that we reported on the major split between the father and son duo may have been caused by comments that Charles made to his wife Camilla Parker Bowles. Wondering what the child might look like. Prince Charles has adamantly denied rumors that he was part of the people inside the palace wondering "how dark the baby would be". Which, was one of the accusations that Meghan Markle made in her bombshell Oprah interview. After all of this, though, Charles & Harry are talking.

There's a whole country and then an ocean between Prince Charles and Prince Harry, so it's not such a bold statement to say that their relationship is distant. Insiders around the royals claim though that the two had not spoken in about 8 months until a recent reconnection. Although, what ultimately caused the reconnection was not revealed. It very well may have been a call from Prince Charles to Harry to clarify the comments that he made according to the book that we previously referenced. The book actually says that Charles asked Camilla what she thought the child's complexion might be. It never says Charles asked what his ethnicity might be or how dark he was going to come out which was what Meghan Markle alleged. Still the story blew up.

Harry went back to the UK a couple of times this year. Once for the funeral of Prince Charles' father the Duke of Edinburgh. Also, for the unveiling of the statue for his mother Princess Diana. He and Charles were not seen speaking after the funeral. Of course, Prince Charles did not attend the unveiling of the statue for Princess Diana. There was reportedly going to be a dinner between the two when Harry was there over the summer. That seemingly never happened.

The father and son duo though are going to have a chance to reconnect in 2022. Harry and Meghan have shown interest in returning to the UK for The Queen's jubilee celebrations. As non-active members of the Royal Family they won't be carrying out events in her name. They did however request an invite to the party at Buckingham Palace that will close out the festivities.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle may be out celebrating today. She was granted a "summary judgement". In her case against "The Mail on Sunday" for publishing private letters that she sent to her father. That hasn't saved her from the media scrutiny across the pond who mock her in the headlines today for an instance in the trail where she seemingly forgot to share bits of evidence with the court. The overall credibility rating for Meghan across the pond isn't great. At least that's what many media outlets would have you believe.
