In the Tuesday photo, Ace had a giant baseball-themed cake behind him as he hugged his mom from the front.
Simpson continued to gushing about her boy in the cpation:
“He is beautiful, kind, compassionate, obedient to his own heart, soulful, competitive, a gentle force of nature, observant, even tempered, complimentary, hugs when he sees conflict in the room, nurturing, athletic, intelligent, hopeful, daddy’s best friend, mommy’s snuggle monster, home run king, knows everyone’s next move, passionate, hilarious, a collector of baseball cards and crystals, one of a kind and good…he is just SO good.”
“He is a sunburst of light with the magic of a full moon. Ace buddy, my Cancerian soulmate, I have never known anyone more capable of making this world a better place. I love you more than you love Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, Ken Griffey Jr., Jackie Robinson, Bo Jackson, Frank Thomas, Wade Boggs, Nolan Ryan, Stan The Man Musial and Dad! ?”
Jessica Simpson released a tell-all book earlier this year (which is aptly titled “Open Book“).
She said in the pages that she’d been struggling with alcohol addiction for a while…and a fan brought it up in the Instagram comments.
“You look so amazing since you have stopped drinking,” the comment said. “Ugh. I wish I could stop. Up 15 pounds from wine every night!!! I just can’t seem to live without our. But you are an inspiration.”
During a January interview with TODAY, Simpson said she “didn’t know it (alcohol) was a problem until it was.”
She recalled being too drunk to take her kids trick-or-treating one Halloween because she’d been drinking since 7 AM.
The actress admitted, “I honestly couldn’t even tell you who got them ready.”
“I was just dazed and confused, and I just wanted to go to sleep. I didn’t take them trick-or-treating. I didn’t show up for my family. I took the picture and I made the world think that I showed up.”
Simpson has since shared what sobriety has done for her:
“The moments that I now get to experience are real moments and nothing that I have to hide from. I am completely present in all of these victories with my children [now] and putting them down every night.”
She added, “Just showing up in my own life and showing up for myself and being the best, positive influence I can be for my children [has been so rewarding].”
