Looks like Catelynn Lowell is in trouble again – at least with the internet.
The “Teen Mom” star hoped to highlight her new cut and color during yesterday’s car selfie, but the purple hair took a backseat to her smoking habits.
Yes – Lowell left a little pack of Marlboro Menthols in the door handle. This and her Bic lighter really lit up a firestorm, because it’s the same car she drives her 5-year-old daughter around in.
?? Catelynn Lowell gets smoke-shamed ??
Lowell’s purple hair was met with mixed opinions on Reddit…but they were mostly negative (“Party city wig coming through.”)
“I’m sorry but I don’t think it suits her at all ??♀️,” another wrote. “Girl looks 40 years old.???”
“Imagine going to the salon during a pandemic to come out with this”
“Choices were made… ?”
“The pack of cigarettes right next to her is a nice touch”
Someone replied, “Seriously who still smokes in their car???”
Which started an entire chain of its own: “Especially when you have kids. You know them and all of their sh-t smells like smoke ?.”
A former smoker entered the chat too: “Smokers [smoke in their car].”
“I quit recently but I always smoked in the car, I don’t have kids and I used a portable ashtray and would throw out the butts regularly. I don’t see what’s wrong with the way I did it,” they wrote.
But having cigarettes in the car was just the beginning. Lowell was further slammed because “she’s been filmed smoking while Nova was in the car, too.”
“And standing like 6 inches away from Nova” – another added.
The question was brought up again: “Who smokes in their car in 2020? The car that drives your kids around? Second hand smoke, or the lingering even if she only smokes when she’s alone in car is still harmful to kids.”
“I am a PICU.NICU nurse. Maybe once or twice a year I will smoke ONE cig, usually after I have been drinking…It smells so bad. My parents were smokers and I hated going to their house, since they’ve moved and retired they don’t smoke anymore.”
They said Lowell smoked “while she (Nova) was in the womb.”
This sparked some unsavory memories (and kinda confirmed that it happened): “Oh yeah!!!! Oof”
Throughout the obvious disapproval/disappointment, casual comments like “The cigarettes lol” show that no one was really surprised.
Other off-beat/sarcastic comments made it sound like a pretty on-brand move: “The cigarettes really tie this look together,” + “Those marlboros just add to the essence of this picture.”
A few weeks ago, Lowell told Instagram that people were randomly showing up at her house…maybe the cigarette stench will keep the unwanted guests at bay.
