Kailyn Lowry and her sons hit up a Lewes, Delaware, beach in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. The “Teen Mom 2” star is nine months pregnant, but those who keep up with her life are not surprised.
Beginning on July 3, beaches in Lewes are ordered to close because of the ongoing pandemic. Additionally, the state of Delaware has put an end to many of its reopening procedures, and the beaches are seeing an increase in cases, particularly among the 18 to 34 age bracket. Many people are not social distancing appropriately in these locations.
A Reddit user posted a photo of Lowry and son Lincoln alongside information about the increase of cases along Delaware’s beaches.
Those who commented on the post were not surprised by Lowry’s actions. In the middle of the Zika crisis, Lowry traveled to Puerto Rico while pregnant. Months ago when COVID-19 was beginning to spread, she traveled to Iceland. Users also pointed out that Lowry is frequently filmed not wearing a seatbelt. She has also been vocal about not vaccinating her children.
In April, Lowry made it clear that she does not believe in vaccinating children. A follower asked Lowry if she would vaccinate her children against coronavirus when a vaccine is released. She replied, “Absolutely not.”
Commenters were not happy with her response, considering that at the time tens of thousands of people had died because of the virus. Today, the figures have increased significantly. Fellow “Teen Mom” franchise star Debra Danielsen took to Twitter to criticize Lowry for not taking the pandemic seriously.
This is not the first time Lowry has been criticized for not taking COVID-19 seriously. In April, she tweeted, “Stuck between I’m never getting my nails done again and omg I desperately need my nails done.” Some people commented that she was insensitive to those unable to pay rent and other bills because of the pandemic. Lowry responded by saying that people were taking her social media posts too seriously.
In a separate social media post, Lowry took a picture of herself surrounded by groceries. Again, commenters called her post insensitive.
Lowry is currently pregnant with her fourth son. She is expected to give birth before the end of July 2020. This will be the second child the MTV reality star shares with Chris Lopez. Many of her fans and followers are concerned that she is not taking precautions to protect herself and her children from coronavirus.
As of today, Delaware has confirmed at least 10,820 cases of COVID-19. The highest daily increase in coronavirus cases occurred in May, but numbers of positive tests are increasing around the United States.
