On this season of the show's 'The Other Way' series, Deavan returns to South Korea to give Jihoon another chance. He claims that he has everything together but in reality, he still has no job. The last time Deavan was there, he also revealed that in the past, he sold stolen cell phones. In next week's episode, Deavan and her family travel there and are disappointed in what they see for the home that Jihoon claimed that he got for the two of us.

One cast member who is now bashing Deavan online is Geoffrey Paschel. He recently appeared on the show as he pursued a relationship with Varya Malina. She turned down his proposal in Russia but then showed up to his home unexpectedly trying to win him back after he tried to move on with his friend, Mary Wallace.

Geoffrey criticized Deavan's parenting and that wasn't a good idea on his part. She responded by calling him evil and brought up his criminal past, especially with current allegations of abuse of women.

Deavan slammed Geoffrey for his insensitive comments and how he got fired from TLC.

Deavan cited how disgusting Geoffrey's comments were along with the fact that the child is so young. She also mentioned why TLC fired him when it comes to his domestic violence cases.

"You’re really going to come after me and my daughter like that? You’re absolutely f*cking disgusting. I saw those comments you posted. My daughter’s 4 grow up. I’m not the one who lost custody. You did. Secondly I was in [an abusive] relationship and I saw your police reports. You’re a disgusting human being for what you did. And there’s a reason you were fired. Don’t attack me and my child when I don’t even know you.”

Geoffrey claimed that he bashed Deavan and not her daughter specifically.

“I can’t get enough of ignorance – it’s comical," said Geoffrey in response. "I don’t come after children…it’s not their fault. It is the parent behind it. If I were you, I’d focus on raising them instead of letting other people.”

Deavan then explained how she raises her kids on her own and has custody of both, unlike Geoffrey.

“I’m raising my child on my own. I have full custody for a reason. Just like how you lost custody worry about your own parenting before you come after mine. You don’t know me and you out of everyone should know how production works.”

Deavan then labeled Geoffrey as "evil." She was also surprised that TLC hired someone with "crazy convictions."

“My information is based off police reports and factual evidence. I don’t need your fake gaslighting tactics. Yes I mentioned you on a live because I thought it was absolutely disgusting TLC hired someone with crazy convictions. And I almost quit the show because of it. Really gentlemen [sic] of you to threaten me? Just proves my point that you are an evil person.”

Geoffrey had spent 30 months in prison for selling drugs before. One of his recent allegations of violence includes him bashing an ex-girlfriend's head on the floor and dragging her. He was arrested for this incident in June of 2019. There is also allegations of him using his children as drug mules. Geoffrey is reportedly engaged to Varya now as well, according to InTouch Weekly.
