Sarah Hyland, 29, and Wells Adams, 36, got engaged in 2019, while on a romantic vacation together. The ‘Modern Family’ actress announced the news on Instagram.

She wrote, “That can't eat, can't sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff ✨❤️ @wellsadams” alongside a photo of Adams down on one knee.

And while they planned to tie the knot this year, they’ve put their wedding plans on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"No plans as of right now. We've put all planning on hold," Hyland told “Bachelor" host Chris Harrison.

"All of my family is mostly on the East Coast, so for them to fly out....and just ages and of course with my health risks, we want to be as safe as possible,” she said.

Hyland suffers from kidney dysplasia and has a higher risk of contracting the virus. In 2012, she received a kidney transplant from her father which failed a few years later. In 2017, she received another from her younger brother.

“I am obviously immunocompromised with my transplant history and am on immunosuppressants, so everything in this house is sanitized,” she said during the beginning of the pandemic.

Hyland continued, “Say someone gets a 24-hour bug, I get it for a week or more. For me, it’s really dangerous. My panic level is pretty high, but I also have a lot of health issues that are very susceptible to stress, so I’m trying to remain calm."

She added, “My game plan right now is to stay home.”

Despite being in lockdown, Hyland admits she appreciates being in quarantine with her other half.

“I just appreciate everything even more now. Even tiny things like sitting on the couch and eating chips," Hyland told People.

"Look, I love to do that all day long, but if you’re doing it with the person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with, it’s just 10 times better,” she added.

Hyland and “The Bachelor” alum were first linked in August 2017, when the two started publicly flirting via Twitter. In October, they shared Halloween photos dressed up as characters from “Stranger Things.”

In November, E! News confirmed they were dating.

"It's true. They are a couple," a source revealed. In 2018, Adams, who lived in Nashville, relocated to LA to live with Hyland.

Since then, the couple has gone from strength to strength. In May, the actress wished her fiancé a Happy Birthday with a touching tribute on Instagram.

She wrote, “Happy Birthday to my future husband 💕 2020 has not gone the way we thought it would but my love for you is at least one thing that will never change. Thank you for your laugh, your jokes, your sunshine. I’m so grateful to have spent another year around the sun with you. You’re a dream come true and my true north ;) Who knows? Maybe we’ll get married at city hall and use this picture as our announcement. I love you more than words can say. To Pluto and Back Baby. Happy Birthday.”
